EVO 2013

I have honestly played better Supermen, Killer Frosts and Black Adams online. How did these players get to top 8? Hopefully the players in the winner bracket are way better.

These are the top players that can afford to fly to Vegas. Also players that know about EVO, which I imagine rules out most Injustice players.

An unknown online player actually destroyed many top players yesterday and placed 9th (lost two matches for pausing; he probably tried to ragequit). I wasn't kidding when I said that this game is very simple and scrubby. Aris almost made it to top 8 without knowing how to block Doomsday's special moves.

Everyone's booing the Superman players. I don't understand the hatred, I love this character even though I don't play him [yet]. He has the best trolling clash quotes in the game.

PhilipinoChamp just got knocked out in Losers semis by the only pad player in the finals. It was great.

Holy... Justin Wong made a great comeback against ChrisG in Losers. Went from 2-0 to 2-3. He was getting crushed those first two games, almost switched teams, didn't, and then turned it around. I don't know how he did it.

Marvel Top 8 was amazing. I was really hoping Justin would take the whole thing, but damn it was close. Justin vs ChrisG is one of the best matches I've seen in a long time.

AE Top 8 was good.

Marvel, AE, KoF and Persona were all fucking crazy. Evo this year was great and Ono is still a fun dude to watch get excited.

I thought KOF and Smash were very boring to watch. Tekken Finals were great.
Injustice finals were disappointing, but the game is still new and most people lack match-up experience. For example Chris G didn't know you can dash to avoid a specific Green Lantern string ending with close rockets and punish with a full combo, so he had to block it like 5 times in a row. KDZ and his Superman were amazing though.

Also that Superman cosplayer jumping on the stage after KDZ won was a pretty funny moment.

I would have probably stopped by New York for shopping instead of going to Vegas and lose to Superman throwing monitors and cars.
I think that UK has the best Injustice players right now, but they didn't go to EVO.

Cloud805 was a regular poster on the gfaqs ps3 board. Ive played him. He got fourth place and I can tell you the board blew up when he bodied champ. Guy barely posts anymore became instant celeb in the fgc. Obviously.

And ya that comeback from jwong was sick. I dont know if I could have handled chris g winning evo.
