you know what's funny. this might seem weird to Americans, but since there's a Belgian-made movie getting a chance at an Oscar, the entire country seems to be going crazy. everyone is following it, and if it wins, everyone is gonna have such a big party because of it.

just cause it's a rarity that a Belgian movie has a chance at winning an Oscar. (well, it happens if we do good in other areas too, where we normally don't shine)

not that an Oscar is so special, but if we as a small country have something going for us, it's always celebrated, which might seem weird to a lot, but I guess you'd have to live in a country like this to know how it feels..
