and the nominees are:
I gotta admit, I posted this slightly out of patriotism cause we got a Belgian movie nominated in the Best Foreign Language Movie category. that doesn't happen quite a lot, so I'm kinda proud of it.
Anyways, lots of nominations for Hugo I see. knew I should've probably seen it. also no Tintin in the animation category?? should've been there imo. I feel like there are more movies missing that I thought would've been there, but I can't immediately say which ones..
what do you guys think?

Hugo got like 3 nominations, Moneyball, The Help and The Descendants all got more.
Anyway I only actually saw 3 movies in the cinema last year, Hangover 2, X-Men First Class (that was my favourite of the year) and Harry Potter.
I haven't seen Sherlock Holmes yet, but I'm sure it's amazing and deserves to be nominated, as does Downey for his undoubtedly great performance.

Well why only post some nominations? That seems a little silly.

well, i found the vid together with an article, I assumed all nominations would be in the vid, didn't take the time to thoroughly watch it. (and the original article was in Dutch, so couldn't post that)

Thanks, and right you are, Hugo was basically in all the categories not in the video.
No Sherlock though, or First Class, that's disappointing.

First Class can never win, it's a movie with fan service and women in their pants and men with buckets on their heads.

Sherlock Holmes was alright.
I preferred the first one though, but this one was far from bad.

It was made for the fans, with lots of stuff they'd enjoy. That's what happens to most superhero movies, and that's why they're released in the summer, because they want box office, not awards.

I can tell you that First Class was anything but fanservice. It's one of the most unfaithful adaptions of a comic ever.

I made a topic last year. E3 had a chatbox.
I haven't watched all the Best picture movies this year. Only seen The Descendants, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball and Hugo. Hoping to work in The Artist tonight after work.

I haven't seen any of them yet... Hugo didn't interest me, and the others didn't play over here (yet).
Except for The Descendants which I'm probably gonna see next week.

I didn't expect to like Hugo either, but it turned out to be a fantastic movie and I loved it.

Why would Sherlock be nominated for anything?
