Should be pretty hype this year. I want to see someone play a Spencer/Magneto/Wesker team, because I've discovered that the team is absolutely ridiculous. With Spencer on point there's an easy touch of death combo with only one bar that I can perform and I can do a two bar one as well which is a little more flashy. So I suspect if an actual good Spencer plays the team, he'll pwn hard.

Completely forgot about Evo this year. I'm watching the SC5 matches now, out of interest.

SCV Top 8 (finals scheduled for Sunday, 10:00am, Vegas time)
When did Japan become good and Patrolos popular? No Violas or Pyrrhas Ω, only one Mitsu, no French player... Unexpected results.

LOL someone just proposed to his now fiance on the Evo stage in front of all those people during the Marvel 3 pools. Thank goodness for him she said yes.
Also, only Poongko and Daigo are repeat Top 8 players in SSFIV AE this year.

Chris G just had an amazing comeback from being down 2-0 in the loser's bracket.

We have an interesting top 8 for both SSFIV and UMvC3. Surprisingly only one Japanese player in SSFIV Top 8 and that's Daigo.
I'm hoping to see Justin Wong or Combofiend win Marvel this year.

The Japanese Tira player was fucking amazing. And everyone says Tira sucks (she's one of the hardest characters of the game and definitely nowhere as good or retarded as α Patroklos, Viola and Cervantes though). I loved his comboes. Easily the best SCV player I've ever seen. He even punished a 2K with CE, that was crazy. I'm so impressed. Aris' commentary was hilarious too.
Japan took SCV. I doubt anyone expected that.
Spoiler:
SCV results
1. Shining Decopon Japan (Tira) 2. Shen Chan Singapore (Cervantes) 3. Something-Unique USA (Pyrrha) 4. Woahhzz USA (α Patroklos) 5. Ruka Japan (Patroklos) 5. Xephukai USA (Astaroth, Patroklos) 7. Kamaage Japan (Mitsurugi) 7. Kura Korea (Patroklos)

Top 8 Marvel matches were amazing, even though I didn't like the outcome.
Spoiler:
1: Filipino Champ 2: Infrit 3: Chris G 4: Combofiend
I was hoping for Justin Wong or Combofiend to win, but oh well. The matches were all great.
SSFIV AE is next.

The Marvel final was very entertaining. Can't watch AE live though, which is a shame because Street Fighter is always the most fun to watch.

The SSFIV AE top 8 weren't nearly as hype as the Marvel ones. A lot of stomp matches and the top 8 just flew by less than an hour long.
Spoiler:
Infiltration just steam rolled over everyone, including Daigo. Daigo played horrible once Infiltration started reading him. Daigo started playing horrible and never stopped even in the loser's bracket.
