The Official MvC3EX Hype Topic (Part 1)

Thank you, but I don't consider my Wesker any good at all. Next week I'll have more time to devote to the game and improving him and Sentinel will be my priority.

I want Sentinel in my team mostly for the assist which is one of the best for aggressive playstyles. It doesn't hurt that he's also an extremely solid character and a top threat with XFC. In addition to his assist, he can do great chip damage, something that Albert is incapable of, and with his j. S/j. H and Wesker's low assist shot I may come up with some nasty set-ups.

Since this will be a heavily offensive team, last slot will be dedicated to another aggressive character. But, I haven't figured this out yet. I'm thinking of Magneto, Amaterasu, Iron Man, Taskmaster, Dante, Zero, Storm or Trish. Only time can tell.

Keep away is good at some points and it's legit strategy depending on your situation. I'm probably going to get better with Magneto, Wesker and Wolverine and make a nice team out of it. I don't like using just one team, so I'll have plenty of them.

I bought the Strategy guide and my god is this thing huge. It contains everything, details on frame rate, damage, health and shitloads of other stuff. It even has some data on Shuma and Jill.

I never saw the appeal behind behind strategy guides.

I only bought this one because it was so fucking detailed, I mean seriously. It even shows you the motions normal attacks have and the frame data on them.

Well, I think I got the system down, apart from stuff like advancing guard, snap-backs and all that fancy stuff. Got that hang of team aerial combos and DHCs. Now I just need to find my team. All I have so far is Chun-Li. I'd like someone with a decent air game and an aerial hyper, since Chun-Li has none of that. I played around with Ryu and he fit the bill alright, but I don't really like him. Deadpool and Spider-Man seem a bit too frantic for my liking.

Still a bunch of other characters to try though.

Try Amaterasu. She's got a great air game, can 8 way dash even when airborne, and her full screen hyper can be used even in the air. Also, if you liked Ryu try Akuma; he' got a little less health, but hits much harder and has many more options for 90% of any given situations.

Don't like Ammy. I get confused with the weapon changes. Haven't tried Akuma yet.

Unless Mike Ross or Marn work for Bradygames then no.

I find it strangely ironic how so many people on a tournament stream chat feel the need to speak so much when they know no one is going to be able to read it maybe for a second at max.

I'm fed up with losing to the AI in arcade mode. Someone get online so I can lose to a real person.

That was pretty mediocre.

Wow, that tournament has over 10k viewers! Sentinel seems to be in every team, so I expect him from tomorrow to be the third character in every team online by default. Even worse, whenever Sentinel wasn't the third character, he had Doom's missiles as an assist or Phoenix was the last teammate.
Those kind of strategies work even at a high-level of play. Even Wong lost, but he deserved that for being too stubborn and not wanting to include Sentinel in his team.

Justin Wong is a trooper for not using him.

Sentinel is far more welcomed to this game from me than either Ryu or Akuma.

I don't care how many pro's are using Sentinel, he's still more welcomed than boring main character and his ridiculous looking nemesis.
