Baaru watches the Funi Dub of One Piece

I am so glad I don't watch the anime anymore.

How far along is the FUNi dub of One Piece anyways

Post-Skypiea filler and they still don't have the license for the episodes after.

according to the Funi OP forum they are in negotiations for those rights with Toei now. I don't know how long that will take to then dub them.

They aquired the rights in May 2008 and by May 2010 had dubbed 205 episodes and released 143 of them in a home release if that's any indication.

Alright, that filler episode was alright. I like how Shanks showed up just to not say anything though in the flashback, was Toei not able to get his voice actor in the studio or something, the hell?

And now that Logue Town is over, I am done with the entire East Blue Saga with exclusion of the Warship Island Arc which I'm debating over whether or not I want to watch because I hate filler and don't want to bother with more than like 2 episodes of it. The dubbing is great and I can not believe how much I liked the Kuro arc when I watched it again, it's so good. The Baratie Arc also seemed a bit darker than I remembered it, probably due to the whole "Dying through hunger is a horrible way to go" message it had. The Zoro and Hawkeye fight is the fight that stands out the most to me still. Arlong Arc is probably tied with Kuro for the best of the East Blue Saga because both have villains that are so despicable but Arlong is more despicable than Kuro so I'd probably put Arlong higher than Kuro in terms of the arc as a whole. Anyways, I can't wait for Baroque Works, I forgot how great this series was.

Don't bother with Warship Island, it's horrible filler of the worst kind.

WTF is this?! I finally get around to watching the rest of the G8 arc and its not even fucking done? The didn't eve ndo the last episode. That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Who cares. It was filler.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Kuro arc doesn't even come close to Arlong arc.

The story, villains, the fights, the flashback, the moments, they were all spectacular during the Arlong arc. Kuro only had the villain as its good point. For the rest it wasn't memorable at all.

Because Toei didn't give them the license for more episodes.

But that's so stupid to stop the liscense before an arc is completed especially by one episode.

I'm just glad I didn't buy the box sets. That would have really made me angry.

I'll probably be buying the first collection when that comes out.
