| Just got back from seeing the movie and I can certainly say, I was highly entertained. I didn't enjoy it more than Thor but I still liked it. Magneto and Xavier had great chemistry, the tension was genuinely good, Havok and Banshee were awesome, the fights were good and hell, it managed to not shove too much of the other movies stuff in my face. It also made me laugh thanks to Wolverine, I love whoever wrote that scene into the movie.
Complaints though, Hank looked awful when he finally become blue. Seriously, I could not take his scenes seriously because he either looked too fake or his face was always unintentionally funny. The villains aside from maybe Shaw, have no personality. Darwin was a worthless throw away character that existed solely for jobbing despite having a cool power. I know I praised it for not shoving too much of the other movie's existence down my throat but they made two references to Xavier becoming bald and it was stupid and felt forced and I am honestly sick of romance subplots that feel forced and like filler, it's fucking ridiculous how any American director feels there must be a romance subplot in an action movie.

| Wait there were two reference's to Charles going bald? I know there was the one at the ending when he said he's an actual professor now and next thing he knows he'll be going bald, but when was the other one?

| When he first used Cerebro, Beast Hank asked him if he was sure they couldn't cut his hair off. He said to leave his hair alone or something. | |

| I missed the first reference but there's nothing wrong with the second one at all. It was a casual mention to it. But yeah, the romance subplot was kinda weird. Especially since the girl was just one of those "Talks a lot but is just there in the background most of the time." characters. | |

IIRC Professor X and Moira Mactaggert were actually romantically involved at some point. Although she's supposed to be Scottish, isn't she?

| I thought the whole reason behind putting McTaggert in the movie at all was for a romantic subplot involving Charles, but it's like somewhere along the line it was dropped, but then further along down the line it was picked back up again. - Quote :

What? There is everything wrong with it. It feels like they're seriously just sitting here and saying "OH HEY XAVIER GOES BALD, JUST THOUGHT WE'D LET YOU KNOW!" instead of it being a causal thing. It doesn't help that they continue doing this shit throughout the movie so instead of feeling natural it just feels like another tip to the future of the story. They did the exact same bullshit with naming the other members and the worst part was Magneto and Xavier.

I don't see the big fuss. He just said something like "Next thing you know I'll go bald" and then they moved on to the next subject. The X-Men thing was very stupid though. They put something important like that into this shitty character that had little importance.

It doesn't matter if they moved onto the next subject, it is a fucking turd in the ether. No one's just going to ignore the fact him going bald was mentioned twice because it's so fucking out there in the dialogue.

| It's just a little foreshadowing, about something that we all know happens, so it's not that big of a deal. Everyone in the audience when I seen it was amused by the second reference at the end of the film and that's exactly what they were going for. | |

| Just watched it and it was AMAZING. Screw the in-jokes about future events, they weren't as annoying as people made it out to be. Also, the movie wasn't racist. | |
