This is 2010/2011 Sony we're talking about.

- Also, look out for more information on the rest of our Welcome Back programme, including which free content you will be eligible for. We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from a list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four. We will let you know exactly what games are available very soon.
It would be very very cool if, as a PS3 and a PSP owner, I got 4 free games out of this.

| I swear to fucking god, if any of those five games is a terrible game or a game everyone already has, I'm going to blow a fucking gasket. | |

| In response to a third hack Sony have taken down even more servers, this time apparently including the ones that handle SecuROM game activation.
What does that mean? Hundreds of PC games (including Crysis and Mass Effect, which have been available on sale worldwide over the past couple of days) can't be installed or played because developers chose to use this draconian DRM that infringes on the rights of consumers. In an ideal world this would make people realise how shitty 'services' like this are but, as usual I suppose, the chorus of cocksucking fanboys will most likely drown out any legitimate complaint.

| Certain Steam games, yes. SecuROM has multiple functions including online activation, DRM rootkits secretly installed on your PC and software requiring a constant internet connection to use - basically this means that, if it's true, any of these internet related functions will stop working, rendering some games unable to be installed and others completely useless.
Bear in mind that nothing has been confirmed yet but people are saying they're having issues activating games that use SecuROM (Dragon Age 2, Crysis and Crysis Warhead specifically) but it would be a hell of a coincidence if these servers happened to go down for some other reason, all things considered.

| I'm still not really bothered with it...I feel strangely unaffected by the lack of PSN..
might just be cause I have no online games I feel like playing though, and I got all the free games for April on PS+ anyway...
