Zero Plays Red Dead Redemption

Ok, so I've heard some awesome things about this and I borrowed it from a friend. Any suggestions on what I should do? I'll be starting very soon.

So, is this sort of like a two path thing where you can be heroic or villainous in the plot?

Yeah, sort of. Though I'm not sure if it affects the plot a lot, since I've only been a hero, but you can choose to be notorious or famous.

The notroiety effects how the world treats you it won't have much of an outcome on the story as i can't remember there being particularly important moral decisions if any in the story missions.

As always assume being evil is the harder route as you will be pestered constantly although shooting whoever is in front of you can be the easier option.

Also your old avatar was way better.

To start off, the graphics look great. I'm impressed. The gameplay seems like it's going to become great as it picks up. Not sure how the story is going to progress though.

The story isn't all that great, the gunplay and being able to fuck around in the west is what makes it great, the hunting gets exciting at times and helping the random townsfolk.

Yeah, also it was more individual now you got a Justin/Nikku avatar.

Ms. McFarland just got showed up in the race.

I didn't like a lot of the early characters, she's actually one of the better early game characters. Marston will grow on you though he seems a bit retarded at the beginning, with his social awkwardness.

Also that yellow horse you get is called the kentucky saddler IIRC and is one of the best horses in the game try not to lose it otherwise you need to buy the deed.

Helped the warden of Armadillo. I'm liking this gun play a lot.

I accidentally brought out my gun in town and a guy shot at me and so I killed him and now I have a bounty on my head. Oh well. I saved for now and will continue tomorrow.

You can lower your bounty by turning in criminals.

Well they haven't explained a ton yet and they kind of left me in this sandbox to figure things out. When I get time, I'll sit and learn stuff about the game.

Its really what best about it dead eye is activated by pressing R3 its just bullet time at the beginning.

Ok so I got the lasso and the stallion. Good shit. I'm loving the scenery in the open world stuff.

Damn right it is. You can drag them around on your horse too.

Aiming horseshoes seems inconsistent.

I'm now playing Texas Hold Em. My dad is awesome at this and taught me years ago how to play so I'm pretty good at it.

Poker is good, but Liar's Dice is the best.

Again, blackjack is where its at.

He speaks the truth, all the other games lack the tension adn suspense as you pretty much know when you'll win.

So I just saved Bonnie from being hanged. The story has progressed decently well and I'm pretty used to the gameplay. Loving the game.
