| Well, it's actually a download this time, rather than an export, but you need to code from the manual to purchase the download. I think. Don't know how it works on the PS3. Still, even without the RB2 setlist, there's like 1600 or something songs available for download. It's madness.
I just wish they were still making dlc for Unplugged, but that stopped pretty quickly.

| Yeah, I saw that. I think you need the disc itself though.
Roughly how much are the songs each online?

| You need to the disc for the RB1 export, because it actually pulls the songs from the disc. Rb2 is just a download, you only need to the code from the game manual. But maybe the PS3 is different , I don't know.
And the songs are 2 US dollars each to download. Packs cost less than each song would cost if bought them individually.

| I'm really liking how the Road Challenges are set up. They consist of 3 or 4 gigs with 2 or 3 songs each, and you get a choice of setlist too. It gives you 3 different options for each one. So you'll have a choice of two pre-picked songs, or a random 80's setlist, or a custom punk setlist, or whatever.
And rather than just having to do well on the songs, you have to complete additional challenges too. So the goal for one gig might be to activate Overdrive as many times as possible, or get as many streaks possible, etc.
You get scored in spades. Each star you earn for playing a song equates to a spade, and there's a potential 5 more spades to get by doing the challenge. So each song is potentially worth 10 spades, and the Road Challenge as a whole has bronze, silver, and gold awards for getting so many spades across the whole thing.

| I swear it's easier to fail songs in this game than it was in RB2. I got really pissed off because I couldn't pass Buster Voodoo after about 4 tries, when I know I can pass it fairly easily. I mean, I absolutely suck at the solos, but it's fairly easy to get through them overdrive. But this game seems to fail you quicker. | |

| Been through the whole setlist expert now. There was about 5 songs I didn't pass, and a further 15 or so which I got less than 5 stars. Playing them on hard just to get the rest of the Band goals out of the way.
Have I mentioned the goals yet? Well there's these goals. There's hundreds of them. Each instrument has it's own set of goals of course, and then there's band goals which can be done on any instrument. Like "Get 5 stars on every song on Hard" for example. There's goals for completing the Road Challenges with all the medals, goals for hitting 85% of notes on all the solos, goals for just about everything.
Completing goals gets you more fans, which increases the number of road challenges available. The goals are also what unlocks the locked customisation items. Which kind of sucks because some of the items are locked behind pro-guitar goals, or drum goals, etc. But the vast majority is unlocked right from the start, and the majority of locked stuff can be unlocked in single player with any instrument.

| You can also sort by play count. There's only one song I've played more than 3 times (in the RB3 at least). And I still haven't played about 120 of my 350 songs. | |

| Lynyrd Skynyrd 4-pack coming next, which Sweet Home Alabama. Which means Cult of Personality is now the only song from Guitar Hero I want that Rock Band doesn't have. | |

| I really want this with pro drums, but everyone is trying to talk me out of it.
I been playing lego rock band and it was quite a lot of fun. I've not played the rock band game but compared to GH3/4/5 rock band seems better

| Pro drums is the easiest Pro thing to get. The standard RB3 drum kit is the pro drum kit, and there's a cymbal expansion for the older drum kits to make them compatible with Pro mode. Plus, Pro drums is the only one that's backwards compatible with all the currently available songs. The cymbals are charted automatically so it works with the entire library as far as I know. | |

| No idea. The cymbals probably come off, but I don't think it folds away or anything. | |

| I really think Rock Band 1 had the best setlist now. All the best head-banging rockin'-out songs are from RB1. I love playing Sabotage, or Welcome Home, or Green Grass and High Tides. The best one is the cover of Rush's Tom Sawyer though. It's not a new take on it or anything, it's just like the original but exaggerated a bit, and I prefer it over the original.
Rock Band 2 probably has the worst setlist for songs like that. I can only think of Ace of Spades. Rock Band 3 is pretty good though. Sister Christian, I Love Rock 'n Roll, Here I Go Again and Plush are all good for that.

| Haven't played this for a while. I'll have to start though because there's a Soundgarden pack on the way. Plsu Aerials by System of a Down was just released, which'll be fun for the nostalgia value. | |
