It was only £9, with free delivery too. Since all (apart from the 3 I think) songs can be exported to the HDD, it's basically a massive discount DLC pack that I can trade it in when I'm done with it. I doubt it'll have much value, but whatever, 55 songs for £9 ain't bad. Although I think there's a small fee for exporting the tracks, since it wasn't something they planned and they had to re-license all the songs for use in Rock Band 2.

Well that was quick. I figured the free delivery would take longer, but it was only a couple of days. And the UK version has some extra songs on it, so that's 63 songs for (I think) £14. Which is about 270 songs altogether, with the RB2 and DLC stuff.
So much better than Guitar Hero.

Sure, I just don't bother, since it's infinitely cheaper on Amazon. However, it takes too long, and shipping is often half the price.

Holy crap. My arm nearly dropped off after finishing Green Grass and High Tides on expert. Nearly failed that a bunch of times.

Oh, well no wonder. Didn't realise it while playing, but the song is like 10 minutes long.

It is slower. But it doesn't matter since the notes are bars rather than circles, which makes it easier to recognise the patterns and rhythms and stuff. The timing is stricter is as well, but that's a help in my experience, since in Guitar Hero I could be slightly off beat and still hit notes, which just got confusing. Especially when alt strumming.
There's a an option to make the chart faster though.

Yes.
Especially the newer GH games. I can go from RB to GH3 without any problem (although RB is still better), but GH4 and 5 are just annoying to play because of the massive timing window and fat notes. Also because the lag calibration is shit, especially on GH5.
Although the charts to tend to be more fun to play on GH games. Most of the time anyway. Songs that feature in both franchises are usually equally fun or more fun to play on Guitar Hero (in theory anyway, disregarding the gameplay issues).
The Mountain Song and Even Flow charts are better in their respective Guitar Hero games than they are in Rock Band. Don't like playing either of those songs in RB, but I like them in GH. The RB chart for Cherub Rock is a lot more fun than the GH chart though.
Once RB gets Cliffs of Dover and Cult of Personality as DLC, I won't have any reason to play Guitar Hero ever again.

Me too. Although my favourite songs to play are usually the really rocking but fairly easy ones, like Mississippi Queen. Simple Man is an incredibly easy but awesome song. Countdown to Insanity is my favourite RB1 song so far, and that's easy. Also Alabama Getaway and Under Pressure. Alabama Getaway is great fun.
That's with the speed option on as well.

You're better off getting the RB2 band set if you can. It'll be the same instruments though, since Harmonix hates the UK. Then you can pick up RB1 if you see it cheap somewhere, or even just rent it, and export the songs to the HDD.
And Alabama Getaway is pretty easy song really. The hardest song I really enjoy playing playing (on expert at least) is probably Blue Sky (which is DLC).
