| I actually played the Infamous demo a while. Seemed quite fun, but pretty bland.
Prototype is great though.

| You'll probably like, since it's basically Hulk UD. Although it's perhaps not quite as good as UD as far as the combat goes, the jump to PS3 means the environment feels a lot less barren, and more fun to roam around in and interact with. | |

| I played both, and I think Prototype is better. The abilities in the game are awesome and you practically are juggernaut when you run with shield up, except to buildings. | |

| PS3 fanboys buy the game that 360 owners can't buy, just to rub it in their faces. Like Killzone 2. | |

| People miss out on a lot of good games due to stupidity. The people who call themselves "gamers" here only play WoW, CoD, Counter Strike and Halo. Lots of good PS3 games lik Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, Little Big Planet and Arkham Asylum get ignored because the fucking morons only want to play FPSs and MMORPGs. | |

| Arkham Asylum is awesome i finalloy got a chance to playh it properly should have finished it in the week, but yeah it appears online gamning means FPS to most ppl and crap games end up just shifting numbers because of that | |

i'm baffledby this Why are you baffled by it? Prototype was released on two formats, therefore it's sales will be divided across two platforms. The below quote applies to US game sales, but I on't see why it wouldn't also apply to a lesser degree in the EU market. - Quote :
- Most importantly, the biggest selling game of the ( June) month was Prototype, which moved “roughly 600,000″ copies across the PS3 and Xbox 360. While 600,000 copies isn’t a bad sales figure it has to be noted that, for the top-selling game of the month, it is quite low. There could be several reasons behind the low sales: A) Summer sales numbers tend to be lower than winter sales, B) Prototype competed with a similar game, Infamous, which was a PS3 exclusive, and C) the economy is beginning to take a toll on the gaming industry, particularly on new games, which retail for $60.
The other interesting thing to note is that Prototype moved 419,000 copies on the Xbox 360, which leaves only about 191,000 copies sold on the PS3.
But, considering that PS3 owners had to choose between the exclusive Infamous and Prototype, the lower sales numbers can be attributed to competing interests. Infamous sold 192,700 copies, making the combined figures for the two similar games on the PS3 arrive at roughly 383,700. Shy of the 360’s sales of Prototype, but comparable. There you go. Prototype sold a lot more copies, it's just that most of them were on 360, ergo no Platinum release on PS3.

| Bear in mind that these figures were released in September, and reference sales from June, you'd have to conclude that inFamous then went on to sell better on PS3 than Prototype did, though Prototype still sold better overall.
Also,is it telling that I have both a PS3 and 360 and I bought the 360 version? Also, it was (for some reason) £5 cheaper than the PS3 game?

| From a consumer standpoint though, that's an impossible sell. - Quote :
- 'Here we have the same game, but one platform uses a more expensive media, so we'll charge you an extra fiver for the privelege of purchasing the game on that format.'
Sony would be suicidal to try and bump up the cost of multiformat games just because they're on Blu Ray, especially when that gives no tangible benefit to the consumer.

| they might not be negotiating that
it maybe be microsoft on the other side saying we can drop price by 5 and still make the similar profit to sony while making there games look overpriced
