I don't think you ever fight them outside of sidequests until the end, do you? I honestly don't remember if it was a side quest or not but I'm certain there was a cave full of them and I had no idea what was going on, only that my incendiary sniper was doing shit all and I had no shock weapons.

| I pre-ordered Borderlands 2, to take advantage of the launch DLC pack, which does include an extra character class.
I played the original a lot. I have the complete game on 360 and PS3. I have admittedly yet to complete Claptrap Revolution on the PS3.
If you are struggling with a particular quest you can of course call for some multiplayer help (if anyone is willing). I was able to "sit in" on the big monster sidequest which gave good experience and also some decent weapons.
The sequel looks interesting with the larger range of weaponry.

| The DLC is accessed through the teleport things, you can probably get to it straight away but you should leave stuff like the armory until after you've finished the main game. | |

| I forget whether it's high level all the time or scales but either way you want to do it as late as possible so the armory loot is as good as it can be. | |

| Or really, you could just try doing it whenever you feel like your weapons are really shit and you can't find anything good. | |

| Skill Trees for the four new characters are out: Maya (Siren) Salvador (Gunzerker) Axton (Commando) Zero (Assassin)I assume the Mechromancer DLC tree will be released later, though frankly I don't give two shits about it as it's literally a character designed around making it easy for bad players to keep up in a co-op game. | |

| If you guys are getting this on PS3, which I assume you are, then I might be up for repeated and prolonged online sessions. | |

| If I ever buy this I'll be getting the PC version but chances are my brother will get it on PS3 at some point, hopefully I'll be able to edit my save to catch up to whoever else is playing it. | |

| I don't remember whether it scales to your level no matter what or is scaled permanently when you first go there, I just said that to be safe. | |

| Just read a review of Borderlands 2 in Games Master. Roll on next Friday... They gave it a score of 95% in their 6 page (lots of pictures though) review. The guns feeel better this time around and apparently when you have others in co-op mode, you can trade weapons with each other. They also have a few tips on playing the game and defeating the replacement for Crawmerax (or whatever his name was). They reckon if you rush through ignoring side quests you could get about 30 hours play out of the game. I know what I'll be doing for a few weeks... | |

| So who else is likely to be getting B2? I'm tempted by some of the pre-order offers, but it's only worth paying full whack for if I know I'll have people to co-op with. Otherwise I'll wait for the price to drop. | |

I've pre-ordered it and I'm sure we can get Buu on board with a mixture of peer pressure and blackmail. There's a chance Neo can manipulate his brother into buying it too.

| After having a chance to play the first one I can safely say I won't ever be buying Borderlands 2. Just not my kind of thing. | |
