Just watched Spider Man for the first time in a while

Forgot how good it is. Great super hero film.

First one was pretty good. Second one was okay, but heading downhill. Third was a shitstain.

Speaking of awesome superhero films, go check out Iron Man or the recent Batman films.

Or X-Men 1 and 2.

Hmm. The second one is quite as good. And for some reason the CG Spider Man looked better in the first film.

Spider-man 2 > all

Perfect balance of Super Hero and alter ego normal lifestyle, HELL, he even quit being spidey and you still had some influence of him as the red and blue wearing hero. It even felt like a classic movie and the train battle is the best.

OH and its ps2 game is even one of the greatest Spidey games ever. ^_^

The train battle is good and all, but as a whole it felt a bit weaker than Spider Man. The bit with him not being Spider Man didn't really do anything except make the film longer. It had a point but it was just really stretched out. Still a good film though.

Well, I think I just prefer Spidey 2 against Doc Ock in the 2nd film because for being a villain with an even more odd design, he really didn't seem like a cheesy power ranger enemy like the Goblin did in their first encounter. Man that was fucking corny, especially that little kid, MOVE KID YOU CRACKER. Fucking dipshit, bet he wanted to die, emo.

Yeah, he did have a more interesting design. I didn't really care about the Goblin's look though. Never actually followed Spider Man anyway, aside from the odd morning cartoon.

And besides, it's Willem Dafoe.

The moment in Spidey one where Harry asks his father what he did last night, after which he has a less than one second flashback of him waking up after the experiment. The sound effect made jump up from the couch.

Oh. Yeah I remember that bit now.

That made me jump too but I got used to it.

Spidey 2 wasn't quite as good as the first, but both were considerably better than the jumbled mess that was 3. Venom got raped.

Alfred Molina is what made Spidey 2 better than Spidey 1. That and the less "POWER RANGER" tones that the first one screamed off of. >_>

Also, Venom wasn't that bad in Spidey 3, it's fact that, yup you guessed it, lack of screen time that sucked. I like that version of him though. =/

Oh well, he'll be back in that spin-off, but not played by Topher Grace I think. Wonder how he'll be revived considering we saw his skeleton get screwed. >.>

The thing that sucked most about Spider Man 3 was Sandman. Because he was the least interesting character with the most convoluted back story and the most rushed creation scene ever. And I hear that's the character Raimi was interested in most.

It just boggles my mind that after the first two films where the villain creation was slower and their relationship with Parker as well as Spider Man was pretty important, that in the 3rd film they decide to screw over Brock/Venom when he has all that going for him.

At least his transformation scene was godly and epic win.


It seems the issue is basically Sandman got the screen time he didn't deserve and Brock as Venom got the long pre-Venom situation but lacked screen time as Venom.

You know, they could've always just did a Spider-Man 3.1 to fix that shit like they did with Spider-Man 2 to make it even more better(Like J.J. dressing up as spidey and playing as him in his office with everyone watching XD).

The 1978 Superman film is rubbish. I know it's a 'classic' but it's actually a pretty dull film.
