I liked Neji and all but had he died then it would've made for an actual plot twist instead of him seemingly dying.

thats because the cast of BLEACH is comprised of humanoid aliens with EVERY FREAKING VITAL ORGAN located in their shoulders, thus explaining ichigo survived being almost cut in half. and how kenpachi and byakuya were beaten.
