Games don't come out, or they are very censored.

I got that part. But why? Do they just thhink no one under 18 plays games?

When a game that should be rated 18+ is released it's either banned, modified or slotted in to the 15+ rating bracket, with the latter being the most common. It results in material that is inappropriate for the average 15 year old being made readily available to them and material that is harmless to any adult in their right mind being restricted unless you import (which can result in a fine if the customs officer is having a bad day) or pirate.

The system is horribly broken as it is and, thanks to the efforts of a certain bible thumping Attorney-General from South Australia who has recently lost his seat, no progress has been made despite great public demand for at least 5 years.

It's about time skip got his shit together and sorted this out.

Man Australia has been fucked up for years now with games and now thankfully going to get what they deserve. It's about damn time.

Oh yeah, I still won't buy games here if we get a R18 rating because of the ridiculous price gouging but it's nice to have some sort of progress.
