each costume is 60,000 points. as of now i have 45,000+

and sorry, i missed your message earlier. but i'm only going to play mercs until i finish the campaign with my friend (he doesn't even have it yet) and i only have urban chaos and catacombs

the first RE event starts on the 13th and ends on the 20th. it's just kill as many zombies as you can in that time span. you get points for participating and more points dependant on overall ranking

i'm either tenth or eleventh in the world on urban chaos. i wonder how long that will last

yeah, you get 40,00 for creating a capcom unity account and connecting your psn account to it. you get points for participating in the events made by capcom and 30,000 supposedly for beating the campaign.

See, I did that and didn't get any points.

Also, looks like residentevil.net is down. It just reroutes to residentevil.com now.

i might be forgetting something, but yeah, since the site is under maintenance i can't check. i think maybe you have to log into your psn account, play the game, and connect to the capcom servers from their. or maybe it's not updating your account because of the maintenance

i got knocked off the top ten already. trying to get back in but i fucking hate swarms of bloodshots and that's the roughest part to keep a good combo going

How would you rank the characters you've already unlocked?

Chris' story is good but his levels for the most part are pretty shitty until the last two chapters.

Also residentevil.net is still not giving me my points, goddamnit.

I think Chris' campaign is my favorite. Good story, no Helena or Jake, and most importantly, no bosses that won't stay dead.

RE.net isn't working for me.

Also, the skill point system is stupid. I've finished the whole game twice already and I don't have enough points to buy even 1/4 of them. And Mercenaries and Agent Hunt have their own skills too.

The fact that I don't buy any except the obviously good ones (Breakout, Item Drop, Stamina Increase and Partner Medic) and still can't afford most the ones I want is pretty telling.

I'm sure at some point there'll be an exploit/farming location discovered.

personally, i find jake to be the best. he's got a good pistol and a good ground melee when bare handed. his magnum is also good at combo extension with the quick shot because it one hit kills everything i've seen so far except whoppers, armored zombies, and lepotitsa.

after that it's a toss up between leon and chris for me. leon has a crappy pistol but most of his melees are faster than the rest also his remote bombs make short work of whoppers. one bomb at close range and a coup de grace after is enough to kill them.

chris has his throwing melee that can set up ground attacks and i believe equipping his knife gives him stronger special melees

helena seems the worst right now. even though she has the hydra, she's still bad at killing whoppers and doesn't have a decent power weapon

The enemies have names? Is there like a bestiary yet I can look at online?

Most enemies I dealt with by shooting a lot, even though I'm sure there's more tactical.

Which brings me to one pet peeve I have: I hate that the game doesn't make any distinction between the phases for bosses where you're supposed to delay (ie. Deborah on the mine cart) and when you're supposed to unload all your ammo to try and hurt them. It always got to the point where I'd have spent all my ammo when I wasn't supposed to and had nothing left when it mattered most.

That happened against Chris' final boss. I ended up knifing it for its last two phases (and relying on Piers of course). I had so many first aid sprays saved by that point that it wasn't a huge deal, it just took a while.

if you've encountered them they'll appear in your records. the resident evil wiki has them too but i'm not going their because of spoilers

chou and i broke a million. the amount of points you get when your combo is high is ridiculous, but at the same time i like it better than RE5 mercs where every second remaining is around a 1,000 extra points.

BD is so good, that he managed to get over 1 million score despite having me as a partner.

I know that quick shots are good against dogs and enemies carrying weapons, but do they have any other uses? Also how do you recommend using the remote bombs?
It saddens me that I did better with Chris, whom I haven't even used before, than with Piers.

Man, fuck the bike chase in Jake's fourth chapter.

i use the remote bombs solely for the purpose of taking out whoppers. it stuns them and damages them enough for a coup de grace melee to kill them. i also use quick shots on enemies with projectile attacks if they're close enough or to maintain the combo using a power weapon if a vulnerable enemy is nearby
