So the story mode is still in, but it's linked with the campaign mode

There's a area on the map in Campaign called Arena, and in there you can do the normal story mode for the characters. However, they characters need to playable in Campaign mode before you can do this. Only Lars and Alisa are selectable in Campaign to begin with, and you unlock everyone else as you play through it. Which means only Lars and Alisa's story mode will be available to begin with.
