Whats your favourite tekken?

Between 2 and TTT for me

Tie between DR (just because it's the latest one) and Tekken 3 (Best music, and Ball mode). Also voted for Tekken 4. Not my favourite in terms of gameplay (although I like about as much as the others), but it had the best level and character design, and the best story too.

I really want Tekken 3 to become available to download for the PSP. And on the EU site dammit! Tekken 2 is on the US PS Store, but not here.

I used to always play that ball mini game in tekken 3, was the shyt.......but tekken 5 was pretty good, nice grafiks too

Tekken ball sure was the shit. Ball > Bowl, Force, and Devil Within modes.

devil within was probably my least favourite out of all those modes

i grew up on 2 and 3 *i* didnt really understand what all the hubub about TTT was...

3 and TT.

1, 2 and 4 were mediocre.
Never played 5.

Tekken Tag and Tekken 3 for me!

1 is virtually unplayable for me now.
2 is great, but the AI can be annoying.
Advance was enjoyable.
4 was crap and had undwerwater fighting.
5 was too hard to enjoy.
DR was great.
6 has not been played by my hands yet...

4 had underwater fighting? It was knee deep at most and it's not like it made you slower or anything. The level design in Tekken 4 was the best the series has seen to date, and something they need to go back to. Same for the character design.

And Tekken 4's Force mode > T3's Force mode or T5's Devil Within.

It doesn't need redeeming in my eyes.

The only negatives I have with 4 is the small roster (although the story seemed to benefit from it) and the speed of the gameplay. Seemed slow compared to the other games.

I think people were just surprised by the sudden leap into a full 3d environment. It went from infinite flat space to enclosed spaces with breakable objects and uneven floors. Of course, DOA did that and no one seemed to care, but that's a different type of fighter. Not as combo heavy. I really can't see what most people's problems with Tekken 4 were. I can see the differences between it and the other Tekkens, but I'm not sure why they're a bad thing. The most I've heard is that uneven levels messed with combos/launchers and stuff, but I never found it a problem. Most levels are flat enough for it not to matter. And the ones that aren't you just have to adapt for.

I was disappointed that 5 went back to flat, empty spaces, walled though they may be.

4 had Combot! I dunno why, But I hate that damn walking tree dude for some reason.

I don't mind either of them, but combat seemed a more reasonable choice. For all the wackyness in Tekken, animated wood is just weird.

Although he did have one of the best themes in Tekken 3.
