The reason OP never was popular in the west was because all those little fanboys complained so fucking much about it, and kept spreading this propaganda about how One Piece is fucking evil and you should hate it

And why did people call it evil? Because 4Kids dubbed it. And later because of Naruto's rising popularity.

Both the manga and anime were released before Naruto was in the west. If someone else than 4Kids got the license, OP would now be what Naruto is today. But instead it's hated everywhere. DBZ fanboys hate it because it's stupid and a rip-off. Naruto fanboys hate it for the crappy art and that it's never serious. Japanophiles hate it because the characters don't have big eyes and don't do gay shit.

Wow, I've only done three of the top ten, and 4kids really are stupid, aren't they? Some of the editing decisions made are just baffling.
