| ^Elaborate.
And have you gone past the 'I'll give 'em a taste of the back o' me hand!" bit that Bart does? |

| That episode where Homer becomes a missionary, they have those fund raising bits for the network. And the end the woman was "If you don't want to see crude, low-brow entertainment vanish from the airways, donate now" and the Family Guy title thingy was on the TV.
And I'm not sure about the Bart thing. It sounds familiar, but I've probably just heard it over the years at some point. What episode is it in?

Homer: Then we figured out we could park them in front of the TV. That's how I was raised and I turned out TV.

| Homer: Why did I take such punishment? Well let's just say fame was like a drug. But, what was even more like a drug was the drugs. | |

| Season 12 episode 15
Marge: Oh Homey, I love them. I can't thank you enough. Homer: The satisfaction of helping another human being, is all the thanks I etc.
*cut to Moe's*
Homer: And I gave that man directions, even though I didn't know the way. Because that's the kind of guy I am this week.
Not sure if those are jokes or just genuine lazy writing. Or self aware genuinely lazy writers poking fun at their own lazy writing.

| *Homer has been drugged to make him forget about the Springfield Isotopes being sold to Albuquerque*
Bart: Dad, you were nuts! Homer: You know me, occasionally I'll be quirky... I'll be quirky? Albuquerque! I'll be right back.
I must say I really do love that. That's a proper sitcom plot moment.

Homer: That baby proofing crook wanted to sell us safety covers for the electrical outlets. But I'll just draw bunny faces on them to scare Maggy away. Marge: She's not afraid of bunnies. Homer: She will be.

It's been going slowly downhill since season 8.
