| Great chapter. I'm so glad he wasn't disguised in some masked form or some stupid cliche bullshit like that. | |

| Honestly, I enjoyed the execution of how Oda reintroduced both Koala and Sabo. - Spoiler:
So it looks like Sabo has taken Luffy's armor and is going to fight Burgess, Rebecca/Cavendish and Bart (?).

| I don't like Sabo so he can go fuck right back off to whatever royals ship he was stashed on. | |

| I'm doubling down on this Sabo being a fake or having something to do with CP0. The cut to the panel showing the three bowls of saki was just Oda being disingenuous. Something about the reintroduction doesn't feel legitimate.
But ultimately I don't really care all that much. Sabo sucks and he's basically just a second Ace. I hope Burgess breaks him in half.

| So there might be one more surprise left in Dressrosa, that's been hidden in plain sight: - Spoiler:
Meadows, one of the contestants of Block D introduced in 706, might be Kaido. Meadows' facial structure and moustache looks similar to the limited views we've had of Kaido so far. The strange ending of the most recent chapter could be him making his move.

| I reread Dressrosa up till now. Really great arc, the Colosseum isn't that bad when read in bulk. There's no excuse for Usopp, Nami and Chopper's consistent awfulness though. | |

It's almost as if Oda has no idea what to do with them, as though the Timeskip never happened and all three of them are still spineless cowards.

| Yeah, Robin has become a non-entity as well, but at least she's not a coward. Law has basically taken over both Nami and Robin's role, while those two are only there for fanservice shots. | |

| All of the crew have suffered post time skip, with the exception of Luffy, Zoro, and possibly Franky. Everyone else is just kind of there, reduced to their most basic character traits. Chopper and Nami had some development in Punk Hazard but that was soon forgotten. Sanji kind of bridges the gap in that he does things but he does them in the most annoying way possible.
Nami used to be my favorite character for example but now I can't even remember why. I think a crew of ten is just too big.
I like Brook but he was really handicapped by the fact that immediately after he joined the crew everyone was scattered. He never really had a chance to fit in, so he's never really felt like a natural crew member to me.

| One minor thing that bugs me is that whole Momonosuke shtick with the women. It's just a small gag, but something about it doesn't feel right. Nami and Robin falling for this little brat's act and being totally oblivious to his pervertedness and letting him party in their bazongas just isn't believable to me and comes off as a bit out of character. When have these two ever fallen for cutesy things or had THAT much of a soft spot for children? I'd sooner see Nami kicking a kitten than hugging the hell out of one. | |

Did you miss the chapter where Zoro refused to hurt a woman even though his entire backstory is steeped into opposing that very bullshit?

I haven't read that part in months but I'm pretty sure Zoro didn't fight her at first because she was so beneath him, not because she was a woman. Tashigi just assumes Zoro is being sexist, but he was really just emulating Mihawk.

And I don't remember him ever beating his male opponents by scaring them in half.

| Zoro doesn't usually fight alongside another swordsman who is drastically weaker than himself (Brook doesn't count). Tashigi deserved the opportunity to test her skill against Monet before Zoro one-shot her. Zoro would freak out if someone ever robbed him of the opportunity to fight a stronger opponent, and Tashigi probably would as well. And in this hypothetical she'd probably accuse Zoro of being a sexist for thinking she couldn't handle herself.
To simplify:
By not fighting Monet until necessary, Zoro humiliated Monet.
However, if Zoro had fought Monet before Tashigi had had the chance, he would have humiliated Tashigi.
Therefore letting Tashigi get wrecked was the best solution for all involved.
