How about "mates" then?
"YOU ARE MY MATES!"
I think it works nicely.

In england you use the word mate for people you don't even know its like how some people say dude or man at the end of a sentence.
I don't think mate is used that much globally, except in that way or meaning animals breeding partners.

I use 'mate' all the time though.
"YOU ARE MY BROS!"
Could work just as well.

"Nami, you are my bro."
That would be the greatest line ever.

The word doesn't need a damn global translation. It just needs to be translated to what works best in a particular scene, be it friend or crewmate or comrade or ally.
There's more to translating than putting words into babelfish. Being too story illiterate to not be able to do this makes you a crappy translator.

Do you really think I(and to higher extent, the big Aussies, Skip n' Neo) don't know that? Remember, I live in Australia, a country with people who use that damn term with that very same meaning waaaaaaaaay more frequently than anywhere else in the world does.
But still, that's why the word could work. There's no level of "friendship/deepness" to it, it's just a complete bro word you can say to anyone word. So it should work nicely.

Well, as I said before, they could use "Bros n' Bitches". Bros for the dudes and bitches for the hoes.

Comrade is the word that comes closest to covering all bases.

Actually, I've been thinking, and I think 'family' is the word that comes closest to describing how I envisage Luffy thinking about his crew. Obviously, they're not literally his family, but in another way, they are.

Toei apparantly agrees with you.
Little did they know Oda had other people in mind that were "family" to Luffy...

So now that the war is over, are we getting some filler or is it going straight to the reunion, or something else?

The only filler they could do is AU stuff like Boss Luffy.

Just finished the Little Garden arc, and for whatever reason I found the anime depiction much less boring. Oddly, I remembered the bit where Zoro threatens to cut his own legs off about two seconds before it was mentioned in the episode.

Right, I'm more or less caught up to where I left off in the manga; Alabasta's done and dusted, Nico Robin has joined the crew, and the Strawhats are looking for a bird to help them find the knock-stream, and Bellamy has just arrived at the house of the guy fixing the Going Merry.
As an aside, can I mention how ludicrously catchy all the OP them tunes are? I thought "We Are!" was pretty good, but "Run! Run! Run!", "Believe in Wonderland!" and "Into the Light" are even worse! (I mean worse as in they're even harder to get out of your head, so I guess that makes them... better?)

The second part of Alabasta is the most well paced part of the entire anime.
The quality of the openings becomes more hit or miss later on.
Near the end of Jaya, a lot of big players are introduced, so pay good attention, because they won't show up after that for a while.

I really used to like Kokoro no Chizu. I think that's the next one. The one after that is better, though.

I'm at episode 170 and the new opening isn't very good. Maybe it will grow on me cuz the 3rd one eventually did, but nothing tops the second one in my opinion.
I kinda just want Skypia to end tho. I'm sure the fights with Enaru are going to be really nice but those people they introduced in the Jaya arc seem so badass that I'm sure the show gets more intense when they play a big part so I wanna get to those episodes.

Skypiea is the best arc.

If you value action over adventure and worldbuilding Skypiea is the worst arc.

Don't get me wrong Skypeia isn't bad or anything but yea I really enjoy the fights and the build up to them. I still got like 20 episodes in it so it could get more awesome.

I guessed the other Shichibukai would have large parts later on, yeah, and Whitebeard and Blackbeard will almost certainly be featured either in their own arcs or as part stories. As I leave off, Going Merry is now ascending the knock-stream.
Can I also just mention how awesome Luffy's OHKO on Bellamy was? The anime did pad the fight out a little, adding Luffy dodging a couple of attacks before he eventually got knocked down and Bellamy started his pinball thing, but Luffy's attack was done brilliantly - very few DB panels jumped from panel to screen so effectively. Nothing like seeing a complete twat get his comeuppance, right?

Luffy finally beating the shit out of the villain are always the best moments.
Since you mentioned padding in the anime, does that mean you are now reading the manga too? I need to mention again that Skypiea is crazy amazing just because of its art and background and that the anime doesn't even begin to do it justice.

And the colour palette for Skypiea in the anime is stupid, if I remember correctly.
