| I woke up to this news, looked around for a thread to this already, and came up with nothing. Of course, this is after I heard that Fox talking about doing an X-Files reboot.Did I just wake from a dream to end up in another dream? I just hope the original Mulder and Scully claim the roles and if Fox can pull that off, then I can personally excuse the lack of a third movie. | |

| It would be cool if they did but honestlyl if they're going to do a reboot they almost certainly will change the cast. | |

| That's why I don't have my hopes as high as they could be because of how big that possibility is. But if they have the characters and the looks of them done right, then I will give it more of a shake than "Oh, shit, a reboot?" or just hype. If they do change the cast, then they should be as close to the original cast as possible. I'm just hoping that this does the series justice well enough. | |

| I could never finish watching X-Files, the last couple of seasons are so bad. | |

| I got back into it to see why I liked it growing up and working on getting DVDs for it when I find a new job. To my memory, I didn't mind the last few seasons when I first sat down to them. But I did prefer the older seasons to it and have the second movie saved on my DVR somewhere. | |

| I tend to just be called one half of my handle since I use it everywhere I go, so I prefer just being called "Starbird" or "Cap". As long as it's used as a fun nickname, then I'm cool with it though. But this reboot should be fun if done right. I want to believe while other people take more time trying to. | |

| I know this is trending on Facebook, Twitter, etc. But they confirmed that the X-Files being revived, is slated for January 2016, and with a total of six episodes. | |

| I'm considering watching The X-Files, but I am a bit put off by the number of episodes. It's a pretty big commitment. Am I making a terrible mistake? | |

No number of episodes should be too daunting. Or at least I want to believe... | |

| Well I'm like 6 episodes in now, and I'm really digging it. 'Squeeze' is my favourite so far. | |

| Nice to see this thread bumped up, and that Skip's digging the show. Also, tonight's the start of the reboot at 10pm on Fox, with the original cast.

| So the new episode was pretty awesome as far as I'm concerned, and it kinda reminded me of when I was a kiddo. And I actually dug the fact that a news/talk show personality that Mulder was watching, calls Scully at her current job as a surgical assistant, which leads to Mulder being called, and them talking to a woman that remembers her abductions. Going down the rabbit-hole a bit further, it's found out that some conspiracies about man using alien technology post-Roswell, and the presence of aliens in general that followed, are revealed to be real as fuck to Mulder after he's introduced to some people the talk show host works with on top of that. Hopefully, the other five episodes either, provide more details, are as promising as this was to me, or both. | |
