just got this game, which is a day early I believe. really curious to see what this is gonna bring to the table. it's my first David Cage game.

I pre-ordered the special edition for my sister as a Christmas present, since she loved Heavy Rain. Tempted to play it first though, or at least try to, to see how bad it is.

haha, I burned the hell out of that house after knocking each and everyone out. too bad they still escaped.

The music for this game is SO GOOD.

I tried the demo and while the graphics, particularly the facial models and textures are really impressive, it simply doesn't interest me. It's a cliché, but it isn't a game, it's an interactive movie where I can only do what someone else has already decided I'm allowed to. An extended QTE does not a good game make.

there's absolutely nothing wrong with it being an interactive movie though, it's just another form of entertainment somewhere in between a movie and a game, and as such, it is actually quite good. I think people cling too much to the thought of "it's on PS3 so it's a game" that they can't appreciate it for what it is.

obviously, if it's not your thing, that's fine, but I feel like it gets knocked on too much for not being a game, while it actually offers quite enough entertainment, just in a form that is unconventional to what people expect from a game.


that still leaves the debate open though as to whether or not such an experience is worth 60-70$.

I pay £35 max for my games, no more than £15 for a Blu Ray. I wouldn't pay £35 to watch Gladiator just for the privilege of having to move the right analogue stick to the left five times a minute during the combat sequences.

I wouldn't pay for Gladiator period. It's a shit movie.
