| I love the Las Ganados, they run, they carry weapons, they talk, they live, beats the hell out of walking corpses just consuming limitless flesh with soft slow bodies in need of 8 mm bullets to die. Love the touch of horror it kept, better than RE5 there
Finished the game, unlocked the special costumes, and decided to have more fun with keeping my guns this time instead of selling them, to be able to purchase the bazooka I sold the Broken Butterfly and TMP guns and ammo, as well as the free punisher
Collected enough money for the launcher shortly before reaching that extra sized beast, killed him, got Ashley out of the village, had to choose a route to go through, I chose the one with villagers (left), I like the giant beast gate more, but this one is better for hiding Ashley

| So you chose to fight the Bella (chainsaw) sisters? I hope you're prepared to do a lot of 180 degree turns and/or all-out retreating. | |

| I can only think of a couple insances of horror in Re4. Oven man and the first time you ran into the regenerators. There are tense situations and suspense but no real sense of horror. | |

| Sold most of my guns, decided to try guns I never tried before Red 9 is the strongest of the 9mm ammo guns, bad handling without the piece to combine it with Striker, damn striker, 100 shotgun shells and kills an insect with one shot
I regret not getting these guns anytime sooner

| RE4 is still more horror than RE5 will ever be.
I still felth kinda anxious going through RE4, it had that great atmosphere to it. (and these regenarators, jeesh, totally creepy when you hear one and don't know where it is) missed all that in RE5.
still prefer zombies though.

| Yea it was a pretty steady decline. The area outside of the church when it was pitch black was tense as hell and the first meeting with the regenorators was scary too. Also I gotta admit I jumped when oven man popped out too. Never had anything like that in 5. Maybe it was because both times I played through it it was with a friend thus making it not scary but I doubt that's it. Imagine if the RE4 HD had a co-op option? Man that'd be tits. | |

Re5 is Re4 but better. There was nothing scary in either. The fact Re5 had coop and an absolutely amazing Mercs mode, and some cool DLC, is why it that much better. Sure Re4 was groundbreaking but there's nothing Re4 does better then 5. Don't get me started on why Ada pisses me off, she's suddenly a hax ninja chick, who was just acting like she was vulnerable in two. It seemed to boost her to Wesker tier..

| Gameplay-wise yes 5 does every just as well if not better. I MUCH perfered the atmosphere in 4 to it though. Plus there was an attempt at suspense and horror in 4. In 5 they just decided to say fuck it we are no longer a horror franchise. Also Leon is much cooler than Chris. | |

| Everything before the castle was great. The last bits of the island were aswell. The castle was meh. Just cuz you have a poor memory doesn't mean there wasn't good atmosphere. | |

Just becauses a friend ruined the atmosphere of 5 doesn't mean it doesn't have any. If a games great i remember every little detail of it. I'm sure you roughly know the layout of most sonic levels in your mind before you even do them. Fact is anything that amazing will stick with you permenantly. I can only say that about the beginning section of Re4. The reason i bring up sonic is because you run through the levels fast, so in theory those should be harder to remember, progress in RE games is long and slow.

| Personally the RE5 levels were cliched and unvaried in my opinion.
And I'll have you know that I could beat any Sonic game blindfolded as I have transcended the need for eyesght in those games. I have become a god.

RE4 had the village Re5 had the swamp, ruins, mines The ruins and swamp levels were pretty interesting, and the whole tribal thing is certainly not a common thing. Re5 also had a village which was pretty fun. Personally i found the castle and i assume science lab or base of some sort (i honestly can't remember) to be super cliche. If you can get through sonic like that do it and youtube it.

| I enjoyed RE4 a lot more than 5. And am I the only one that thought the Labyrinth was by far the worst part? You can hear the freaking dogs coming but you don't know from where. | |

| No shit, the whole game is easy. I'm just saying the first time I played through it, that was by far the scariest part. Although, it might have been the fact that there was someone with me who got freaked out by every dog that appeared and screaming very loudly which startled me a bit. | |
