| Infamous's biggest problem, which is still there in the sequel, is that you get pulled towards anything you can grab if you jump even remotely close to it. It really needs a grab button.
I thought the animations were better in 2, particularly the running and pole climbing animations. The slow down before a jump is a bit annoying though. But if you can't get past the TPS elements you're never going to like Infamous.

I only played the first level. It was boring. Thats because you suck at it. I've never met a person who didn't like this game or at least appreciate it.

| How is it even possible to suck at the first level? I remember liking it ages ago when I had a Megadrive and all that, but it hasn't aged well at all. | |

| I assume it gets harder, yeah. But the first level was easy. I did nearly die though because for a while I didn't realise the forward+triangle attack used up some health. | |

You realise the higher the difficulty the better the game gets what did you play on anything below hard is pointless to play as a gamer. Enemies are also weaker in singel player and in smaller numbers

| I played on normal. I don't see how higher difficulty would make it better. Just wasn't much fun. | |

Moose have you never played a hard game as opposed to a game with artificial difficulty? Difficulty setting changes the hell out of this game.

I quite liked DA2. Yes, Origins was better (and ME2 was light years ahead) but I enjoyed the first play through. DIfference is, second time around all the niggles started to appear more and more obvious. Origins I beat at least half a dozen times, ME2 close to double that. DA2 I only managed once. It's a competent game, though I'd agree it seems unworthy to the DA franchise, and is easily the weakest software I've seen Bioware yet produce. Never mind, ME3 will surely reaffirm their status as my favourite developer. Were I reviewing it now, I'd give it a six. Competent but unspectacular, and sorely lacking in polish. - A_Nonny_Moose wrote:

These didn't actually bother me that much, though that's perhaps because I've not spent much time with either game. - Quote :

2's animations are improved, but still look unnatural and the slow motion jumping is comically bad. Every time I try it it makes me cringe. I deliberately chose inFamous as my free DL because I cannot believe so many people could rate it when I thought it so underwhelming. Therefore, I'm giving it a second chance. Whether or not I can get past the fact it's basically a third person shooter is something I'll find out. Maybe it;'s other charms will win me over?

Indeed. Scrolling beat 'em ups worked well in an arcade because you can have ten minutes fun and then walk away to play something else. I always found console games of a similar nature got boring pretty quickly. That said, I did have a soft spot for Streets of Rage 3 and Batman Returns (the SNES game).

Streets of rage 2 is universally considered the best in the series. Streets of rage had a stupid difficulty setting almost making it impossible to complete.

Beat 'em ups don't age. I can throw in Golden Axe, TMNT, Streets of Rage, etc and always have a blast. If you don't like SoR2 you just don't like those types of games cuz its the pinnicle of that genre. And where is Streets of Rage 2 in the store? Is it only on EU's or is it one of those cases where they put a game up and then took it down for some reason?

Looks like its only EU PSN at the moment hopefully you 'll get it in the store update i think we got sonic two a while back, might be worth asking around to see if anyone has a spare EU account, they don't use. Also moose almost dying on normal diffulty makes it sound like he sucks

| On the EU store it's on the front page when you click into the PS Plus menu. Mind you, the US store has a diferent way of presenting everything, so not sure where you'd find it on there. | |

| That sucks. If Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection was online compatible it would have been absolutely amazing. So many awesome games..... | |
