IF Socom interested me in the slightest, I'd probably woulda bought it just to have the R3 beta code. When that roles around and everyone is playing it except me I'm going to be very upset.

W00t. Just downloaded and installed InFamous too. I'll start playing it later or tomorrow, though. Bit busy at the moment. I'll also do my DLC stuff for L.A. Noire as well.

The DL for inFamous is massive, around 7gb. I started downloading last night, left it on, went to work this morning and it's still only at 42%. That's around 16 hours, and I've still got LBP and the inFamous 2 demo pending.

Anyone know when these playstation plus things will change?

I'm thinking of activating my US PSN+ first, just so i have max time with each of the games.

your connection must have been interrupted somehow for it to take that long

The welcome back package ends July first. I know that's the last time you can get the free games but I'm not sure about Playstation Plus so just thought I'd throw that out there for you guys who plan on waiting.

Thanks man thats very useful to now, I can't really be bothere to get the PS+ at the minute given how glitchy the store is i'll just wait a few days i guess.

That said if someone wants to multiplayer one of those games just let me know and i'll DL it

I think the current PS+ offers change on the 8th of June. Probably including the free Streets of Rage.

Infamous took me about an hour to download, PSN's downloading is obviously batshit crazy.

My download speed is horrible on PS3. It's been downloading for over 12 hours and it's at 90%.

inFamous 2 is very underwhelming, and having now played a bit more of the original it feels like there's been little effort made to deal with what I thought were pretty obvious shortcomings, namely; the MCs animation is still weird (try sprinting and then executing a jump - Cole, who is sprinting remember, slows right down before acrobatically *note: sarcasm* leaping roughly two or three feet, killing all your momentum in the process. Seriously, did no one play test this and not think it killed the pace of the game?), the game still plays like you're holding a gun (hold L1 to bring up a reticule before you're allowed to use any of your powers) and the combat still feels vague and floaty.

I DLed the original game, so I'll see if my opinion of it changes over the next few weeks, but so far it's doing exactly what it did before - leaving me thinking I'd rather be playing Prototype.
