It's about a bunch of people who all wake up into a weird place, and they're trapped there. Every 2 minutes someone from the group dies by a machine in the room, and they get to decide who dies next by a voting system.
Very interesting concept and it opens up a lot of possibilities for the way they interact with each other, but sadly, as the game progresses, pretty much everyone just turns out to be an asshole, and there's not a lot of interesting dynamics going on. There were only 3 likable characters.
It was interesting enough to watch till the end though, just to know what was going to happen..

| I'm sure there was a gameshow like that (without the killing though). They got a bunch of people, and there was $10'000 prize or something, and everyone had to just choose one person to receive the money. | |

| Spectre.
Wasn't bad, but I kind of feel like not a lot happened and everything was resolved rather quick and easy.

Simpsons nailed my thoughts on the james bond films post casino royale: Lenny and Carl mention that they watched a new James Bond film where James Bond is ugly, has no gadgets, is not good at shooting, doesn't say any funny quips or do any James Bond stuff.

| The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 The first hour was pretty good, but the ending was a massive, massive anticlimax. - Spoiler:
Katniss gets knocked out, and wakes up in hospital to be told it's all over and they've won. Yes, really.
The pacing was all over the place, likely a problem with splitting the book into two films, and it's getting hard to buy Jennifer Lawrence as a struggling teenager, but moreso Josh Hutcherson as any kind of foil for her, physically or mentally. Grossly unsatisfying.

| I watched Ant Man. Pretty good, if more than a little predictable. It was weird that they made the bad guy crazy, but I guess it was so him getting into a big fight at the end made sense. Unlike Iron Man 1 where the bad guy just jumps into the suit and has a huge battle for no real reason.
It did have the same problem as Iron Man though, where the good guy spends the whole film mastering this technology but the bad guy just picks up immediately.

| Saw Mockingjay 2 as well. Hugely disappointing especially towards the end indeed. - Spoiler:
So yeah, she gets knocked out and wakes up and everything is all over, that was indeed lame, but a lot of stuff after that made me laugh. Not to mention it was so very obvious what was going to happen, when Katniss shoots Coin instead of Snow, i actually laughed out loud.
Aslo, I think the movie was 1 scene too long, it should've ended with Katniss crawling into bed with Peeta, and he asks: "You love me, real or not?" and she says "real" right there is when it should've ended, that would've been beautiful. The scene afterwards wasn't needed.

| A friend of mine recently showed me The Man From Earth, which is probably my favourite movie I've seen this year. Highly recommend it to anyone who has given a lot of thought to hypothetical situations involving immortality, as it tackles pretty much all of the tropes to do with it. It is pretty much entirely dialogue though, so if that's a turn off probably don't go near it.
I also watched Catching Fire with my sister because topical. It was fine, pretty much what I expected.
Finally, I rewatched Dinotopia for nostalgia, it's still amazing and I won't hear a word against it.

| Saw a recent flm called The Signal. Starts off as a typical teens in the desert looking for spooky stuff story. Well, not spooky, but they end up and the murder-iest shack ever, that no one would ever go into, and they go into it. They leave the girl outside alone too.
But then it turns and you're like "Oh it's this type of movie. Okay, I know what's going on". But then it turns again and never really sure after that, which was interesting. Cool little movie.

Well, I'm a Tarantino nut, so this is probably a bit biased, but I thought it was great. Lots of people are going to hate it though, cause I think they're going in expecting a violent movie with lots of action and deaths and whatnot. (and I don't blame them considering what the last 2 movies he made were like)
But it's not like that at all, yeah, some heads get blown off and people die, but it's mostly a talking movie with not a lot of action. And that's sure going to turn people away considering this movie is 167 minutes long.
But I thought it was great, some humorous moments, snappy conversations that you can expect from Tarantino, the plot was relatively simple and it kinda turned into a whodunit at some point which wasn't all that bad, it kept you in the dark long enough.

I don't mind watching it again. Creed.I absolutely loved Creed. Its not my favourite rocky film but its definitely up there. I laughed, I cried, felt like I should start gym or take on some hardcore sport and then I laughed some more. If you're a fan of the Rocky films, you should definitely watch. SpyThis wasn't a film I was interested in watching at first but 10 minutes in I couldn't stop laughing. Thought it was hilarious. No regrets watching this one.

It was okay, but I was a bit disappointed because it wasn't as good as Kingsman and they were doing similar things.

| Kingsman was hilarious. The scene in the church with Colin Firth -you know the one - was worth the price of admission alone. | |

great movie, really enjoyed it. Didn't give me the feeling like Leo deserves an Oscar for it though, but then again, that might just be because I'm used to him playing awesome roles that this doesn't really stand out anymore, I don't know..
