| http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Black_and_White_to_feature_only_Gen_V_Pok%C3%A9mon_pre-National_Dex - Quote :
- Game Freak director Junichi Masuda has updated his blog with an unexpected announcement. Pokémon Black and White Versions will only feature Generation V Pokémon up until the player acquires the National Pokédex. In the update, Masuda said that his intention was to give players both new and veteran an equally new experience, akin to Pokémon Red and Green/Blue Versions back in Generation I.
This same line of thought seems to have been used when the decision was made to reset the route numbers back from route one, and placing Isshu in a remote location from the rest of the Pokémon world. It remains to see what, if any, non-standard features from the established Pokémon world will be included in Pokémon Black and White. 1) So does this mean Geodudes and Zubats are no longer "Com-mons"? 2) So does this mean we get no new Eeveelution breeds?

| Yeah, I saw this the other day. Dento might end up being better than the late Ash in the anime as well. | |

"The late Ash"? You mean Ash actually DIES?

| Ash has eternal youth, he can't die.
But this looks like it could be really good. Hopefully they hold back on the legendaries, there have just been way too many in the last few games.

| No geodude and Zubat are a good thing. I really got sick of seeing them. Oh and no magicarp is cool too. | |

| Sure, there won't be zubat caves or tentacool oceans anymore but something else just as annoying and useless will take their place. | |

| Flying squirrel. Electric/Flying type; first one since Zapdos. Static ability. Frickin' cute. | |

| I already hate its guts, which is how it should be for me and small Pokemon.
I'm liking this game already.

| Really? I thought it looked mildly goofy.
BTW, anyone else hoping that Pokabu's final evolution is some badass flaming boar?

| Oh yes, goofy, but I can tell he's gonna be a badass.
Yeah, it should be something along those lines, I'm aslo hoping that the water one gets some kind of badass polar bear crossed with a sea otter thing going on.

| That can't possibly be the stage 3 water pokemon, it doesn't resemble stage 1 or 2 at all. | |

| At least the stage 2 water type is on the right track to becoming a badass. Unlike the fire one, which looks derpworthy. The grass stage 2 looks like it could become some badass dinosaur. But then you look at its third form and it's gone and regressed. | |

| I doubt it. Ash is there, wasn't it going to be a different protagonist? | |
