I disagree with Godot on Symphonia since I think it's overrated and cliched but I kinda have to agree with Episode II.

Episode I was almost entirely filler. Everything in the game didn't matter at all in the long run.

Episode II was where things FINALLY started to kick off and one of those things was revealing Jr.'s backstory. However this was also the time where Shion changed from being a likable character to being a total ***** for no real reason.

Episode III had the silliest and most convoluted story where Shion's constant whining really dragged the game down. She kept complaining nobody cared about her and how she was all alone, despite the fact that the rest of the cast try to reach out to her but she just shoots them down in a PMS-y mood. It's like... "I'm miserable, nobody likes me but anyone who tries to comfort me, I'll tell them to fuck off and be a real bitch to them"

Well, no, it's just....

I've never met anyone who liked Episode II. I found it interesting, but everyone was like "IT'S SO BORING AND IT SUCKS. ONLY PLAY IT FOR STORYLINE." I mean, that's true to a certain regard, Episode II was a complete overhaul from X1. X3 was the best though.

Hmm... It's been a long time since i"ve played, but didn't Kevin "happen to her" before Episode one? Wasn't it all just long, drawn out flashbacks?

Well... as far as Episode II's gameplay, I thought it was just as good as Episode I. Not that I'm praising it or anything, I hated the gameplay in both games.

Episode I's gameplay was just slow and boring. Ooh look! Pretty yet incredibly long attack animation that doesn't do much damage to the enemy!

Episode II on the other hand was faster paced but finding the right break zones and actually exploiting enemy weaknesses was a pain. It was a bit more strategic than Episode I, I'll give it that much though.

Kevin... surprisingly didn't have much to do with it. Shion didn't even know that Kevin was still alive until halfway through Episode III but she was already acting like a total bitch to everyone in Episode II and the first half of Episode III. Just seemed so out of character and sudden, considering how Goddamn nice she was in Episode I.

I really don't remember much of the Xenosaga series. The only thing that I cared enough about to actually be able to recall was Jr.'s backstory. It was soooooooo good.

Well yeah but that is like... right near the end of the game. Third last boss fight actually.

I'm just going with what I remember.

I don't know... maybe I'd empathize with Shion more if I knew someone who was in an abusive relationship. It just seemed that in a lot of cases, she brought her depression upon herself.

It's Nomura. He has stated numerous times that he is reluctant to redesign other artists characters (I think Anno designed FF VI's cast). He only did Vivi in KH 2 reluctantly. So chances are: Not likely.

Ehh... he designed FF7, 8 and 10 characters I believe, as well as the KH characters. I don't think he does any actual writing outside of KH though.

I'm not saying FF6 characters won't be in KH, it's just that Nomura is rather reluctant to include them. I'm sure if you can speak Japanese and ask nicely enough/whore your body out to him he might change his mind j/k

Nomura is a cocky bastard who thinks his characters are the best. He'll never include anyone else's art.

Yeah. Hence why he was reluctant to include Vivi and Setzer.
