| Hmm. So you wanna know about the story. Ok, I'll give a brief overview of what's happened so far: (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, Sora) - Spoiler:
- John Marston, an ex-outlaw, has been hired by the government to hunt down and kill all the members of his old gang.
- The first one he confronts, Williamson, shoots him in the chest and he's taken in by a rancher by the name of Bonnie McFarlane.
- He gets his strength back and after helping Bonnie with some jobs on the ranch to repay her kindness, she supplies him with a lasoo and a horse and John moves on.
- In the next town John arrives at, he strikes a deal with the sheriff of the town, he'll help the sheriff deal with outlaws, if the sheriff will help him with Williamson.
- Whislt on the road, John comes across a man in a suit, who has been wounded. You take him back to Armadillo for medical treatment.
- When he is well again, he asks you to help him sell some of his merchandise (he sells 'miracle cures') and compete in races for money he says he'll help you get a wagon into the city Williamson's gang controls.
- The con man tells John to recruit the help of a grave robber named Seth, and he points him towards a sneaky Irish arms dealer by the name of Irish.
- After running all over the place as Irish only likes to tell part of the truth unless confronted later, he supplies John with a gattling gun and some ammunition.
That's where I got up to, looks as though I'm going to storm 'Port Merser' (The town Williamson has taken over.)

| So far I'm loving it. The best things so far, are the duels and bounty hunting.
Occasionally you'll see wanted posters outside the sheriff's building. You can take these on whenever, the bounty of them alive is double that of them dead. When you capture, or kill, the target, you'll be attacked by gang members on your way back, which can get quite intense if you lose your horse and have to run back with a hogtied man on your shoulder.
Duels are great fun, the higher your fame, the more chane you'll be challenged to a duel by some hotshot. Alternatively you can be caught cheating at poker, which I'll get to in a minute, and the person will challenge you to a duel.
The gambling is also lots of fun, and fairly realistic, in that it's very easy to get addicted and lose far more than you win. XD They have Poker, Black Jack, Horseshoes, Five Finger Fillet and Liar's Dice so far. I'll assume everyone knows what the firt three are and explain the others.
Five Finger Fillet is a game in which you have a knife, and have to stab in between your fingers. It can get very difficult if you try to do it fast, but you can win a lot of money very quickly.
Liar's Dice is a tricky game to understand. It took me a whole game to understand what was going on. Basically, everyone has 5 dice each in a cup, you roll them and then make a call how many of a certain face are on the table. (So for example, you might say that there are 2 4 face dice) Then the next person is forced to say the same number of a higher number face, or a higher number of the same face (ie: 3 4 face dice, or 2 5 face dice.) Alternatively they can say that you're bluffing, where all the dice on the table are revealed, and if there are less than your bid, you will lose a dice. They can also say that your guess was exactly correct, and all the dice will be revealed, if you're spot on, everyone but the person who said you're spot on with your call will lose a dice. The aim of the game is to be the last person with dice remaining.
Another great thing about the sandbox element that I'll mention is the random encounters. So far I've seen robbers stealing money from shops, robbers stealing horses, men trying to kill prostitutes, men hogtying and running off with women over their shoulder, drunks starting a bar fight and gangs attempting at raiding towns. I say attempting, because as soon as they try, I whip out my magnum, go into Dead Eye mode, and headshot all of them before they can cause any harm.
Dead Eye, is a special aiming mode in the game, it's sort of a cross between bullet time and V.A.T.S in that it slows down time, and allows you to ai at where you want to hit. But you only have a ertain amount of time to select your targets so you have to be quick about it.

| If anyone wants to know about online, I suggest we get Sora to give a review of that. I expect he's played it a lot more than me. Haha | |

| No, it runs out. I'm pretty sure you get it back by killing things or just by hitting things. Not really sure yet. | |

| I think you can also refill it with various items like Tobacco and (I'm not kidding here) Snake Oil. | |

| Hmm, I wondered why the hell I'd want to buy snake oil from a store. I'll have to test that one out. | |

And Moonshine. As a matter of fact drinking that stuff gives you 10 seconds of unlimited dead-eye on top of the 100% refill.

| I pity anyone not playing this on a HDTV, and a fairly large one at that, because the minimap is fucking ridiculous. | |

| Damn it. I really wish there was a way to configure the controls. I want aim and shoot to be L1 and R1. | |

| And Prototype slowed down the game for a few seconds when you opened the wheel, which was very bloody useful. This game doesn't. | |

| So I played a round of deathmatch yesterday. It was pretty good. Expecially considering it's not the main point of the game. | |
