Just watched the Dawn of the Dead remake

It actually wasn't that bad. But it suffers from the same problem a lot of zombie films suffer from, which is this: When you're film's premise is "Zombie Apocalypse", the audience immediately knows that pretty much every character in the film is fucked. Only a handful of the characters introduced will be alive at the end, and things won't look particularly hopeful for them either.

I've seen it. Don't remember much about it, but it seemed better than the second one.

i got the special edition basically 20-30 mins of dialogue was removed
as they thught fuck it lets just make it an action film

i think it did well while being RE fanservice in terms of stealing set pieces from all the games up to that point

I liked the DotD remake. The pacing was just about right, the characters largely well written, and the set pieces were great. It was a hell of a lot better than most of Romero's recent stuff too.

The DotD remake is my favorite movie ever.

Not quite sure why, though. Maybe the "nostalgia" factor that goes along with me and my friends watching it and subsequently formulating zombie escape plans.

I liked this DotD as well. The only other movie that had zombies even close to this one (That I saw of) was Automaton Transfusion.

...In case you've seen it and don't remember the title, It's the one that actually had a zombie punch into a pregnant woman's gut, rip out a fetus, and eat it.

It's actually my favourite "horror" movie.

Don't they shoot a Jay Leno zombie in that movie?
