God damn, Japan hated FFXIII.

Seriously, I saw some articles on 4Chan, pictures of broken discsand even a comparison between what FFXIII has and Versus XIII has.

So, why are there two version of this game?

They're two completely different games that play out in the same world.

It plays like Kingdom Hearts supposedly.

And they couldn't have come up with some different names other tacking Versus on the end of one of them?

They should've named it "Fall back just in case FFXIII bombs."

I hate that excuse as means to try and say someone thought something is good. Yeah Spiderman 3 sold very well, but it was by fans, critics, and even people who only watched the movies everywhere.

The game was released almost a month ago and it still sells well. Japanese should know by now if the game was really shit and logically they would have stopped buying it.

For example, 3rd week's sales:

FFX 85k
FFXII 91k
FFXIII 112k

I haven't read any other Japanese reviews other than Famitsu's, but going by the numbers the game was a success (considering also that PS2's sales are greater than PS3's) and it didn't 'bomb'.

It was a success for SE's wallet, not the fanbase. The fanbase utterly hated it and because it sold well does not change the fact that most of the fanbase over in Japan hates this game and for very valid reasons.

The Japanese even went out of their way to break their discs and post pictures of it on 2Chan, that's how much they hated it.
