I just couldn't get into it because there wasn't any solid objective to begin with. Generally with a sandbox title, you start out with simple, direct missions to introduce you to the environment. Just Cause just plonks you down and says "Have fun. The missions will start after you destroy a certain amount of crap". The area they give could have been a bit more populated as well, that would have helped.

In case anyone has been wondering why I haven't been on so much over the past little while, it's because I've gotten this game... and it is AWESOME!
Can be a bit frustrating at times, but it is AWESOME!
I figure I might as well right a review of it one of these days. Probably will want to finish the actual story before I do so, although I'll probably just say what every other reviewer has said: "nothing to write home about".
But who cares about story? I get to BLOW SHIT UP!
