What movie(s) do you love that everyone else hates?

Godzilla 98 for me. Despite being not that great of a movie and ignoring the nostalgia I have for the film itself and all the merchandise whoring it had, I don't see why it gets pissed on so much when the majority of Japanese Godzilla movies are a million times worse. Thankfully at least this film spawned an animated series with a badass product of the wimpy father from the movie so that's awesome, and hella lotta times more cooler than a certain piece of shit called Minilla/Milla.

So yeah, basically this film is like my guilty pleasure.

The first MK film wasn't bad, the sequel was dire. I can't think of anything I 'love' that gets hate, but Cellular's a good film that no one seems to rate.

Independence Day is one of my favourite movies.

A lot of people like that though, the only negativity I've ever seen for that film were either critic reviews and the handful that just hates on Emmerich films. The majority loves it though.

It has a cult following, that's pretty much it. I actually recently watched it and realised how dull it actually was with the "And then?" scene being the only funny one.

Scary Movies stopped being good after 2.

Ironically Disaster Movie was the only movie that ended up tanking at the box office compared to all of the other shit.

The first Scary Movie was funny. The others were awful.

Oh, well there we go then.

And I also liked Signs. Dunno if that's hated.

I liked the part where they ran out of the house and Mel went all ape shit with his brother.

The scary movie films have had a very mixed reception

honestly its more determined if you cared for or had seen the films they had spoofed
