Saints row 2

The thing I dislike most about this game is the respect system. I hate that you need a certain amount of respect to do missions.

Yeah, it's a lame mechanic, but it's not that hard to fulfill at all and shouldn't really take long. Besides, the mini-games are good enough for it to not even matter.

Seriously? Moose it takes around 5 minutes to fill up that most of the time. Just put on clothes to get a huge multiplier and do something.

All it does is turn the side missions into a chore.

the only side missions that are chore like is: drug dealing, chop shop, and escort

Crowd control makes me want to stab someone....anyone. God damn. This game is pretty awesome besides some frustrating parts, even with such low production values. I heard (well didn't hear so much as assumed from posts on the gfaqs board) that the thrid one was crappy. Is that true? I was hoping to get some more of the same with a bigger budget behind it.

I liked the third one enough to finish it, which is more than I can say for this game. Saints Row 3 is simpler than Saints Row 2 in some ways, but nicer graphics, overall better performance and a highly enjoyable story more than make up for it. Plus it has jet bikes.

the gameplay itself is a step up. content wise it's a step down with less activities and no mission replay.

Escort was the only one that annoyed me. Do crowd control coop its considerably more easy, and let people know how much DLC installed as people with different amounts of dlc can't play with people who have it.

Yeah, there was less activities, but I never did those anyway. Customisation was simpler, but then it added customisation to cars and a weapon upgrade system too. It would have been nice to have some choices for weapon upgrades, but I won't say no a shotgun that sets people on fire.

There was car customisation in 2 moose. You could add nitrous boosts as well as visuals.

Really? Never came across that. You can make them a lot tougher in SR3 though, and add wheel blades. Although I never did because they look stupid. But boosting into other cars and making them explode was fun.

You can do all of that in 2.

Yeah but it's not as good because 2 is rubbish.

I found out the hard way that people could jump into your game. This dude joined my game (I must have let him but don't remember it) and had cheats enabled so my file was tainted with cheats.

it should only affect your auto save

What does the cheater flag do anyways? Block trophies?

In Saints Row 2 all it does is stop the game auto saving. But in Saints Row 3 they stop trophies.

Also it stops you from being able to record driving and combat stunts. I got 3 gold stars in a lot of things only to realize that since there were cheats the game wasn't registering any of them.

Cheating in video games Ellis... Oh how you have fallen once you've been out of of my reach.

Luckily I had a back up save not long before that so i was ble to load that up and go from there. These type of games force me to 100% them so i've been going at that. There is just so much to do its absorbing all of my free time.

Not saying all the time but occasionally, also remember you have a few of us on skype.

Yea i'll be able to do some multiplayer and shit (notice how adding "and shit" to the end of a sentence automatically makes it badass?). I just hadn't been recently because with my limited time I've been concentrating on my single player conquests.

Well let me know when you're online a lot more, because I want to get uncharted 3 and do some multiplayer fun, but no point in getting it if we can't get the bros out in full force.

Also I got a Vita I dunno if you got one of those so let me know if you do.
