Shiryuu was sent up because Magellan's fruit is made for masses. It basically destroys everything in its path except for one power.

Shiryuu, meanwhile, has a sword and is better suited to take on a small amount of enemies.

thanks that makes a lot more sense

the only other thing i could think of was that megallen knew about blackbeards power to neutralise a devil fruit
but theres no reason that he would know that

There's an amazing twist coming up in two months or so that NOBODY predicted though.

550: Escaping the Island (tentative title) (C)

The Hannyabal fight was awesome in the manga, but it only covered half a chapter in the manga where it will cover a whole episode here. Not to mention it's done by the worst animator.

The grades behind the episode are for the animation directors.

The rest of the episodes all cover once chapter.

i thought the episode was fairly awful
hannybal was made to look like a gimp the fight was dreadful
blackbeard showing up at the end saved the episode though

Which is why I enjoyed the appearance of Blackbeard.

I didn't think Luffy would have to go all Gear Second on his ass to knock him down though.
