I need to practice those dog counters. Once I accidentally countered 4 dogs at the same time. It was so cool.
Doesn't Helena get a grenade launcher? Anyway, next time we play, use her and let's aim to be the top Piers/Helena team. I haven't felt like a low-tier hero since SCIV where I played Yun-seong.
i'm more inclined to use rpd helena because of her sniper rifle. both of her power weapons are absolute trash in both her load outs though. i'll be really annoyed if that ugly blocky outfit has good weapons.

For UC, we just need to do more counters and melee everything that can't be killed with a counter.
Btw, have you heard whether Leon's counter (kick) is stronger than the other guys' counters (elbows)? I was watching a vid of the Mines level and the Leon player was killing every unarmed zombie with only one counter, something that I couldn't do with Piers unless I had already weakened them. I wonder if it's a matter of positioning or kicks are just more powerful. Perhaps I should use Leon for the Mines.

Well, elbows always hit high, so I'm going to assume it's the positioning. It's weird though. This only happens with the grab attack, which 99% of the Mines' zombies exclusively use.

i was killing some of them in one counter with helena. i was doing it fairly consistently too so i don't think all of them were weakened.

Seriously? And you weren't using Power Counter. Even with PC I had to shoot them first. Without PC, I had to shoot them even more. This also happens in UC, but most zombies there don't use the grab attack. So not only his loadout suck, but his counters are weaker too? What the hell.

This vid explains a lot about counters:
I'll admit I hadn't noticed that there was a generic counter for everyone carrying heavy weapons and a more unique one with single-handed weapons. Probably because Piers has no light weapon in Mercs or the campaign.
I tested racer Piers' counter with his light weapon and it was a one-hit-kill without PC. So it's only the heavy weapon counter that sucks against grabs. And Jake's unique elbow which explains why he isn't popular in the Mines. That makes me wonder how a Jake/Piers got the eighth spot in the leaderboards in Mines.

despite being knocked down near 100 spots we're still the best rpd helena and piers.

Any idea what the new patch changed? Only thing I noticed was, when I started the game, that it asked me if I want to challenge your score in UC duo... the one we got together.
Also they lowered the login bonus on RE.net. Damn.

I seriously do not understand how that killed him, IIRC he was an invincible boss. Claire and co get whacked by tentacles repeatedly and they never die.
I've been trying to get the rest of the campaign's medals lately. There are medals for stuff I'd never imagine, like blowing up all the containers in L/J-4, not opening any one-way doors in C-4 and having the enemies break down 10 walls in A-2. I love these kind of details.
