Raz' Angel watchthrough topic

Those two episode are like a surprise double gutpunch after the lolz of Smile Time. They're the most emotionally crushing episodes of a TV show I've ever seen. Even better than Buffy's The Body.

Also, at this point The WB cancelled the show for literally no reason at all (it was the highest rated show on the channel) so Whedon and pals put a season of storytelling in 6 awesomely packed episodes.

Yeah wow, I mean those are two of the darkest episodes in the series and having them straight after Smile Time just makes them all the harder hitting in contrast.

That cancellation is bs though, what the shit were they thinking?

Also, "And one world with nothing but shrimp." I appreciated that shout out.

Now Gunn too!? Angel is loosing his team one by one.

That was an amazing finale. Now I'm so angry that it was cancelled.

I'll get started on those comics eventually.

I love how Angel's message stayed consistent throughout its entire run and I don't think they could've ended it better than having them face a giant army with no chances of winning, but not actually showing it. Because it's not about winning or losing. It's about fighting.

Let's go to work.

Yeah, that's one thing I really liked. At the end I thought it was gonna change its message to how power can corrupt, but then they set it right back again.

It was a great way to end it, I just wish there was more.
