FF8 sucks hard.

I actually like the random rule. Makes it more of a challenge.

As long as it's not paired with Same/Plus. Then shit gets crazy hard.

To be fair you have to go out of your way to visit Dollet and get the random rule early on but unless my memory is failing me I am pretty sure Dollet is the first place you get that damn rule.

Dollet, Trabia, and Edea's House have the Random rule, if memory serves me well.

there are some really cool things about 8 such as the quests
and i'm a perfectionist to so i tried not to use magic too much as most of it was attached to my characters
it was kinda annoying in that respect

the card game makes up fo for everything

The card game was fun indeed. In fact, Square Enix could've created a game based on it alone if they wanted to.

they blatently tried to recreate the magic with sphere break but it didn't work

If you're talking about that minigame from Final Fantasy X, I don't think it's necessary to make a game out of it. It was the worst thing I hated about FFX.

i hated sphere break it was in FFX-2
it was way too easy and no real tactics

it was the coin one (strangely called spheres)

Spheres are circle-shaped, right? That'd be a possible explanantion for naming it "Sphere Break".

oh right i think your getting the blitz ball game in FF X confused with the game i'm talking about in FF X-2

also blitzball in FFX 2 was a managment sim
which sucked even more so then blitzball itself

I think I'm getting them confused too. Shows how much I hated that damn minigame from FFX, I guess.
