The Adventures of Skip. Pt. 1 - Johto

So I'm going to do a runthrough of Heart Gold using Nuzlocke rules. For people who don't know what they are it's:

Rule 1: You can only catch the first pokemon you encounter in each area.
Rule 2: If a pokemon faints it's dead and must be released as soon as possible.

Now as I really have no control over pokemon I catch for my team, I'll let you know what pokemon I end up getting and you can request nicknames for them once I get to Goldenrod.

The only problem is I can't post screens as it's on my DS (emulators don't handle HG well.) So I'll just do a write up of the major events that occur within a given playthrough.

Also I'm choosing Cyndaquil as a starter so anyone want to name it?

Number 8, ok fair enough.

Well so far I have a Cyndaquil, a Sentret and a Spearow, and several close calls. Cyndaquil's been on 1 HP twice, and Sentret once.

Number 7, please.

Alrighty.

Number 4 is a Ghastly.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Ghastly got critical hit by a Spearow. He's dead.

You shall be missed Ghastly, you were great for the 5 minutes you were alive for.

Pokemon number 5 is a Geodude.

Beat Falkner.

Cyndaquil evolved.

Pokemon number 6 is Wooper.

Sentret was taken away too soon. I had high hopes for the lad, but alas he managed to hit himself in confusion, taking his health down to 2, when he was brutally murdered by a Zubat.

Pokemon Number 32

I doubt I'll catch 32, but ok. And Kuriri, you're a Sandshrew.

Hell yeah. Give him Hyper Fang, Blizzard, Dig/Earthquake and some Thunder attack and he's a tank.

I'm definitely gonna give him Hyper Fang and Shadow Claw. I guess we'll see what else I happen across TM wise.

Ok well damn, just came out of a tough battle. The rival battle as you leave Azalea Town. It was all going fine, and I 2HKO both his Ghastly and his Zubat with Buu and Kuriri respectively, then he shocked me by pulling out his level 18 Croconaw. I kinda feel dirty about how I beat it but I really had no other choice. I spammed Smoke Screen with Quilava, then Growl and Leer with Spearow. Then I cleaned it up with Wooper. I really need something that can take water pokemon...

Anyway, progress so far:

Party

Wooper - level 14
Rattata - Buu - level 16
Spearow - level 13
Sandshrew - Kuriri - level 13

Boxed
Geodude - level 11

Deceased
Ghastly - level 5
Sentret - level 9

Pokemon number 9 is an Oddish. Fantastic, now I can take down those pesky water types.

Well I am now in Goldenrod, and pokemon number 5 was a Ditto.

Still need nicknames for Quilava, Wooper, Spearow and Oddish (who is actually quite a badass.)
