Yukari is a bitch. She's like constantly on her period. Fuuka doesn't talk too often, she just has a bad VA (it's the only thing I found annoying about her.)

For some events you have to use certain characters.

I don't think you have to bother leveling Aigis, Ken, or the Dog. (I stopped using Yukari after the hotel thing)

junpei has a couple of moments but he is inherently a dick and i'm not sure if september is far enough into the game to be considered the bit where he stops being a dick

No, they're just boring. Among the rest of the group and characters that are interesting and have actual development they just stand out as the two most boring characters of the team, sure they're cool at times but they're just so dull for most of the game.

Koromaru is just the token animal and Ken's just shit all of the way through.

Not like you who's hating on some guy for some unfounded reason or because you're hating on him for a few moments in the game. You haven't played the entire game so you shouldn't be the one thinking I'm talking out of my ass when you haven't finished it yet, smartass.

This does not make them instantly bad, it's how they're handled. P3 handled Junpei's stereotype well, along with Yukari, Fuuka, and Shinjiro's.

Sadly, Persona 4 couldn't except for Naoto and Chie.

Oh and the side characters are good, but that's the problem, the side characters are better than most of the main characters.

well yeah there are stereotypes in a lot of things
but the main problem i have with junpei is his character does the same shit regardless of your behaviour in game
because i pretty much sided with him throughout the game and helped all the way through
this doesn't stop him acting like a cock

i mean yeah i get the whole semi rival relationship they have, but seriously he ends up looking bad compared to everyone so it seems retarded when he rides MC so hard

ok i was probably harsh on fuuka, honestly i just irritated when i have to baby sit socially inept ppl in a game, she's just boring i don't think i found any of her dialogue interesting and yes i am aware some guys are into the shy girl, but seriously this game just comes off as a dating sim at times

theres no way in the world you can tell me that yukari is not annoying, maybe cause she's in cute anime form you can handle her, but my god a girl that annoying in any given context would be as annoying as hell, i mean sure if MC wants to have sex with her or guys playing the game fancy her, they can be more forgiving, but i'm not playing the game for that

i just like RPGs and you can see why i liked something like nocturne so much, i didn't have to worry about a love story i had little to no interest in, but i'm forced to play like 5 in this (chihiro/mitsuru/fuuka/coach girl/yukari maybe i'm missing one)

The reason I like Junpei is because he's a genuinely cool guy. He does care about the others, he is a dick but does apologize for it, he's always got your back, and in the end he does end up maturing due to a certain character's death, you can notice how mature he becomes afterwards.

Fuuka is likeable even though she's a bit annoying. She starts out as wanting to make food because she thinks it's what girls do but the MC notices her messing with something mechanical and eventually encourages her into doing what she loves even if it isn't what most girls normally don't do.

And yes, Yukari was annoying at first. But she eventually grew to be likeable and I actually thought of her as a real person, not some girl I could get it on with.

Shinjiro is likeable because he's a badass, the subtle kind about his likes, and the kind of guy who'd put his life out for his friends.

These are the reasons I like these characters, they act like actual human beings and are people I could actually like if they were real.
