Filler is in red, it never existed in the original source material and is literally made to pad out the series, i'll mention which ones are ok.

N.B. regarding filler episodes 101-102: Spoiler:   In this filler Ace left the crew, however in the manga he left earlier than this. If you continue at episode 103, the plot is carried forward again, and reference to what Ace does on leaving is mentioned. Some people might prefer to watch these episodes, however I'd not recommend these episodes as a lot of the Arabasta filler ruins the pacing of the arc significantly. Well, even if it's shit, it's done by Naoki Tate, who is OP's best animator.

There's a chance that 452/453 and on will be more Straw Hat adventure filler like the ones after Amazon Lily, since the animators working on those episodes and on are pretty mediocre and it'd be pretty lame to start the war arc like that.

There's two chapter covers for each Straw Hat with a very, very rough outline of what they're doing.

I've finished Skypiea recently as the DVDs of the dub just finished it. Warship Island was the worst filler I thought. It was more cut and dry than Post Alabasta, Goat Island and Rainbow Mist. The dragons also looked nothing like dragons.

Aside from G8 and the memory loss stuff, which were excellent, every filler arc should be avoided at all costs.

Especially that stupid Dragon one. I threw Collection 5 out the window because of it. And it belonged to the library!

Bugger it, I've just wasted three hours of my life watching the Gunkan Island arc (eps 54-60)and thinking A) How boring it was, and B) I didn't remember it in the manga. Now I know why.
