| Old Ichigo wasn't much of a badass or cool dude either, that page is an example of a generic egotistical bastard, just because some guy has the balls to thrash a group of chumps doesn't make one cool, that scenario has been done countless times and just isn't cool anymore. That "current" Ichigo seems like a total douche too.
Manga/Anime lacks badassery this past decade. Badassery itself became lame and not worth having a character becoming cool at the risk of being a seemingly shallow ass. | |
