Having recently finished reading "Watchmen" (great read, BTW), I'm staring to draw similarities between Light's plan and that of Watchmen's main antagonist (name omitted in case you haven't finished reading it yet). Your thoughts?

Veidt is basically Light had he succeeded. Although remove the arrogance, and idiocy. Veidt thought the world could only be saved by disaster brought by Manhattan. Sadly, he was right. Rorschach attempts to tell the world about it, and is met with death.
