Anyone can download RE5 from the net and play it on a modded 360 right now. It's not just that less copies will be sold, but also the whole story will be revealed much sooner.

Personally, I don't mind spoilers for any game. My problem is RE5 selling less than the estimated 6 million copies and not surpassing RE4.
Oh, and that what they are doing is actually illegal.

It's been out for how long? Just about every store that sell games still sell RE4, and RE5 will probably carry on that tradition

Same thing happened with Half Life 2 and it didn't stop it from being one of the highest grossing FPS games out there.

Hopefully the PC version of RE5 will be good. Capcom did an amazing job with DMC4 so I expect it to be good. RE4 kicked all kinds of ass and I expect the same from RE5.
