| I don't know, I liked the old-school, real platformers. But now they have to layer them up so much that they really aren't the same. I don't think they ever can be, not a bad thing, just the way she goes. | |

| well there are games that insist they are shoot em ups but they aren't really i.e. blast radius/colony wars on the PSX, rogue squadron
I dunno space games are the best equivalents but they all turn into simulators really | |

| the old school semi run and gun platformers like contra were sweet
i don't see why it cocks up so badly in 3d they also have to significantly reduce the numbe of things you have to dodge | |
