"Paste shit" is this goo that you rub on your disc. It's kinda' like toothpaste, and it buffs the crap out of the surface.

A Skip Doctor has a big ass spinning wheel that grinds the surface of the disc down a tiny bit, so that the scratches are made level.

A Skip Doctor is a great product, but don't use it on your Blu Rays 'cuz it'll fuck you in the ass.
