I'm british i'm not english. That guy would me African nationality but he's clearly not African heritage. Mind if you can't keep tabs on your heritage may as well say your from the country your born in. Although about half the worlds population would think you were the biggest idiot ever if you couldn't even give a vague point of origin.

| True. I do hate how far some people take it though. Trace back far enough and we all came out of God's dick in the same place. Africa. I believe nationality holds more bearing over who you are than heritage nowadays anyway. No matter what color you are generally speaking you are more alike to the people in your own county/region/etc. than you are to some country your great great grandparents came from. Obviously ethnicity and heritage plays a part. Even I have some family traditions that stem from my heritage.
And I bet your a Welshman Buu. You seem to come off as one.

And I bet your a Welshman Buu. You seem to come off as one. Thats so unbelivably far off its pretty funny. Thing is people will ask someone where they are from expecting to hear heritage in some cases. In the US if a person comes up to a latino person with an american accent and i mean a proper valley girl accent or something when they ask where your from they don't wanna hear im' a valley girl they wanna know heritage. Ultimately though someone should be able to narrow down if they're oriental, black, asian, latino, white. I mean you'd have to be pretty fucking clueless to not even know a ball park. AS far as your more like people in the country your bought up in, thats not completely true. People of certain cultures will have a much stronger cultural influence from there heritage to the point they will have slightly differnt opinions on shit. In the most basic sense think of if you came across a jewish person in america. They hardly get rid of all the cultural and religious implications of being jewish just because of where they are living. I can't be assed with specific examples but you should get what i mean.

| I think it plays a miniscule part. Race is one thing but ethnicity is different. All the Jewish friends I have are very normal people. Those Orthodox Jews on the other hand are something different.
And just out of curiosity, where do you chase your heritage back to? I'll tell you mine though you probably already know.

| Liam is a way more boring name.
The only annoyance you might have no is ppl will say oh are you named after...?
Though that is countered by the increased interest you'll get from chicks who will enquire why you are called that, what it means, or how that was there favourite character ever. You really need to learn to capitalise on that.

I'll tell you later i try to limit the amount of info i post in random topics here. My brother is stalking the site at the moment and though he obviously knows my origins, i like to have deniability if i get linked to this place. I wouldn't put it past him to point out this site to people to attach it to me in some negative way. - A_Nonny_Moose wrote:

Thats a shame, i'd totally pronounce it the other way i bet it would double the number of phone numbers you could get.

| My heritage is primarily Irish (convicts) and Polish (immigrated during WW2). Though there's some French, German (Polish side) and English (convicts/first fleet) in there.
I don't think I could get much more Australian really.
Also Liam strikes me as a really Irish name, don't you English hate the Irish? Well, more so than everywhere else.

| Nonny has an exotic name? My name's as exiting as a wet afternoon on the seafront. I'd also agree that Buu definitely doesn't sound welsh, but then again I thought Sly sounded more American than Belgian so I'm probably the wrong person to make any such judgement. I'm also aware that I sound like a country bumpkin on account of living in Norfolk.
Oh, and I'm definitely English rather than British.
